If you remember, our starting corners were disciplined at the beginning of the season as well by the HC. One corner didn't play until the 4th game of the season and the other didn't play until the 8th game of the season. Both were rusty when they returned. Took them a couple of games to get back into the swing of things. Overall the team had a LOT of adversity to overcome to get to this stage.

Then was the QB issue as well. That's all history now though.

I forgot all about that but come to think about it this team has had more off field issues than any in recent memory and coach made it a point to let them know that football comes second. No matter how good you are or how big the game is. Gotta take care of business in the classroom or you won’t even touch the field.

Have no idea who is going to win. But probably the most talent on a Tennessee High School football field ever. I've seen a lot of football in my time, grew up in Murfreesboro. This is the best team from Murfreesboro since the 1970 Murfreesboro Central team that blew out Memphis Melrose. Whitehaven is loaded with talent, college prospects all over the field. Next year's game will probably be a repeat. A high scoring game favor Whitehaven, low scoring Oakland. Go Patriots.

Oakland has a really good team, no doubt but not sure id call it the best team in Murfreesboro over the last 50 years

Before the season started in the summer of 2018, there were 16 Whitehaven players who received college scholarship offers to play football. You've read about some. There are others with offers to smaller schools. There is a sophomore on the Whitehaven team who currently has an offer from the University of Memphis.

Before the season began I started tracking all of the players and schools with young men who were being offered scholarships before the season started and not just Whitehaven players. I created a thread called Memphis Area Players Being Recruited - 2019 and placed it in the General Football Forum. If you are interested, go here.

I don't think Whitehaven is done in that regard as well because, as far as I know, Sean Wilder doesn't have an offer and I don't see him not getting one. He's a 6'-2", 180 lb. Cornerback with great cover and tackling skills. It's just a matter of time with him.  If he's received an offer I haven't heard about it.

You guys need a guidance counselor just for the football team. I am always amazed how you guys are so loaded at LB. No matter how much you lose you guys roll them out like it's an assembly line

History doesn't change. Ergo the Oakland fans not coming in this thread saying anything inflammatory.

You on the other hand come in here with highlights as your basis of observation for making claims of an Oakland blowout. Solely based on

.. "what you believe".

Outcoached, better athletes, and better disciplined. Really, all you have is nothing to base this opinion on. What you saw on highlights!

I must admit, you have been entertaining though. But now that I know that you are just full of hot air and poppycock ... Oh well.

Don't know about WH fans feel, but I was relieved when that Oakland poster said their team had better athletes. For a moment I was feeling that ole Memphis teams are just athletic....... nonsense.

This HC Patriot fan is with you bruh. My high school football loyalty extends only to the Paris Landing bridge.

First, he's not an Oakland fan. He's from West TN. He's not a Memphian either.

I didn't want you to lump him in with the true Oakland fans or just those folks from that region. He's clueless. But that doesn't stop folk from yappin'.

It's all good though. This is the 2nd championship game in 3 years, and the 4th championship game in 8 years for my Alma Mater. I'm going to enjoy every moment and NOT take this for granted. I've learned a great deal just from looking at things through the eyes of a champion. It's a totally different vantage point.

WHITEHAVEN FOREVER!

I call WH DB high. All of our senior DBs get schollys. It's been like that for a while. Oakland isn't too shabby in that department either. We have 2 senior starting DBs currently with no offers. I think that will change though.
