Good chance of that happening, but Oakland is going to be replacing a slew of kids on each side of the ball. Not sure what MJ has coming back but it wouldn't be a slam dunk

Oakland seems to be in the catbirds seat for picking up great transfers like they did this year. Everyone moving in worth their salt wants to be on a winner and someone all the scouts are paying attention to.

Not gonna argue there, but you can only focus on what you have, not who you might get. I don't feel like kids necessarily have to transfer to get noticed now with Hudl & Social Media

Precious Valentine, my favorite name of all time.

OH HOW PA REMEMBERS PRECIOUS VALENTINE WHEN THE PATRIOTS SHUT MY OWLS OUT IN 2008-_-HE LITERALLY RAN OVER OUR FRONT LINE AND THEN SOME..OAKLAND IS THE BEST TEXTBOOK TACKLING TEAM IVE SEEN IN AWHILE WHERE WHEN THEY POP YOU THE BALL COMES LOOSE. I SAID DA HAVEN COULDN'T BE THE COMEBACK KIDS IN THIS MATCHUP AND I KNEW WHO WAS GOING TO WIN AFTER THEY COULDN'T GET A FIRST DOWN IN THE FIRST QTR. OAKLAND IMPOSED THEIR WILL ON DA HAVEN FROM THE FIRST SNAP. THEY TURNED THE BALL OVER BUT DA HAVEN COULDN'T CAPITALIZE ON IT. CREASY HAD A GREAT GAME PLAN. CONGRATS TO OAKLAND.

At least you got company now, PA. Folks at WH and Maryville know exactly how you felt in 08

I remember when Oakland will filing into Floyd Stadium for the 5A game and the 4A was finishing up. I didn't really know anything about Oakland back then except they had a short drive across town to the 'Ship. My how times have changed. I know more about Oakland than I do most teams around here except for that team across the pond on the other side of the aluminum curtain.

Times have changed indeed. We used to fill up the stands, win or lose

I heard the Whitehaven band on TV, but I did not see or hear the cans. We're they not allowed? I read the stadium policy, which is very vague and gives discretion to the security personnel.

The band constantly playing is ridiculous. Maybe the football teams should go to band competitions and start a game on the sidelines.

Instead of the TSSAA trying to add more classifications or eliminate spring practice or any other stupid idea, let's make some rules that actually make sense. I have no problem with bands playing during timeouts, between quarters and even up til the offense goes to the line of scrimmage, but playing the entire game and while play is going on is bush league.

    • Yea I agree I will say tho I was a big “ v “ fan if an  opening ever did happen I think it would’ve been good to see him have a shot coming from a power house like Oakland. I’m sure he’s learned a lot from Kevin.  I bet he would bring a really good offense scheme IMO But after all this I just dunno anymore.  Whatever happens with the rumors an such if it did come to and opening I think this messes it all up.  The board members dreams are slowly slipping away now. I haven’t lived there for awhile I just hear what I hear, but my question is would there be any good potential candidates?? That’s why I don’t understand why people want b s out so bad who else could do any better ?? IMO there’s nothing attractive about it? As I stated earlier I went to the last game last year and taking a leak in a porta Potty is pretty sad and still nothing being done they say ..
    • I have a sophomore that can do 177 (preferred) or 192. Sent you an email.
    • speaking of board members how can a man get arrested 12 days ago and still be head coaching a team in TC school system? looks like your right about the tc board members. I bet it would be different if they had a kid on the team
