But you were there, they arent giving Silver balls out at walmart. Congrats on a great season

Oakland was clearly the better team. We didn't deserve to be on the field with them

Mark this down in your book. Next years final four will be Maryville, Oakland, Whitehaven and as always a mystery guest will fill in slot number four.

You are right, lot of talent coming back on these teams. There were several sophomores starting for both teams last night. Those who talk about the private schools being so much better. Oakland scrimages Brentwood Academey about every year. We dominated them this year freshman, jv and varsity. I believed they scored one or two times. I know it is only a scrimages but it is what is. This is a very good team, you might not like the offense they run but they don't care they have the gold ball.

No football isn’t that bad in Memphis. We just had a horrible night against a great team and got whooped. Nobody including us Whitehaven folks were impressed with that shell of our offense. Us coming out flat like that is typical but digging yourself in a hole against a team who’s main focus was to bury you so you couldn’t dig out again was disastrous. Our team builds off of momentum and big plays and we just couldn’t get the momentum going. That blown fumble recovery touchdown call on top of our best player getting hurt on the one kick return that wasn’t a touchback just deflated us completely.  Our quarterback missed a couple big passes but to his defense he was getting killed all game. Oakland came out focused with a purpose. We came out and laid an egg and the score literally reflected that. But on the bright side we got almost our whole linebacker core and a couple other key players coming back next year. We’ll be back.

honestly the qb looked horrible...but that could have honestly been just because they got dominated by the oakland defense. Was it really on 3 first downs all night?

10 years of 6A and only eight teams have been to the championship game. Only five teams have won the gold ball. The East side of the bracket leads six to four over the West side of the bracket. By Grand Divisions of Tennessee, the breakdown is as follows:

East Tennessee - 5

West Tennessee - 3

Middle Tennessee - 2

The breakdown by county is as follows:

Blount - 5

Shelby - 3

Williamson - 1

Rutherford - 1

Good chance of that happening, but Oakland is going to be replacing a slew of kids on each side of the ball. Not sure what MJ has coming back but it wouldn't be a slam dunk
