Your telling me!!I keep hearing the Pirates loaded up in the off season and are on a one way track to Cookeville.Word is even Coaltrain picked up some heavy hitters!

I can assure you SP didn’t get 4-5 transfers like you boys picked up. You have a major division 1 football player and possibly 2. Greenback should win it all in 2019, but I think the Pirates can compete.

I know, SP 5 running backs and 2 receivers that can take it to the house on any given play, we’re in trouble!

Goodness gracious, who said such a thing?

Yep,they got their fastness back!

I wonder how many they can play at once?

I still don’t expect them to have the speed of those Pirate teams from 2007-2013.

That’s 7 skilled guys someone needs to tell them that their going to need someone up front to block lol.

I believe they lost a few and have a few back.

You are correct. Les Miles pulled the trigger.

Geoff Collins pulled the trigger too this evening. Georgia Tech came calling with the latest offer tonight. Right after Willis got off the phone with Tulane. Crazy evening back home in G Town!

2019 Jalen McCord committed to Austin Peay and will be a Gov next season. #6 in A Greenback baseball beat #6 in AA Loudon on their home field 8-3. Five to six Seniors on GB baseball team are offered and/or committed to play at the next level. It’s exciting to see all these kids at GB being noticed and given these opportunities!

Best senior class in program history to date...with a LOAD of talent.

    • Personally I was pulling for Lee Hammonds to get another shot. He’s earned it!
    • Tyler Williams was the logical choice to be named head football. He served as the Highlanders’ strength coach and offensive coordinator.
    • I went to practice yesterday and liked what I saw for the most part. Derek and crew have done a good job during the off-season. I was very impressed with the size of some of those boys on the offensive line. My only regret was one of the boys I was really pulling for to have a good year was dismissed from the team. I have to applaud the coaches for setting examples for the others, no one is bigger than the team. One other thing, I was hoping with that big rain we got this week some of that  yellow paint would dissolve but it didn't.
    • Couple of thoughts: 1.  I just don't understand all the intricacies in TSSAA transfer rules anymore.    William Blount had a kid that played the final part of the basketball season with them this year,  that played at Hardin Valley last year, and played football for Bearden this year.  I say that to say, I know the coaches and the AD and the Principal at WB and I will never believe they would do something they knew was wrong.  They are men of character.  I BELIEVE the same thing about the coaches and administration at Maryville.  Call me gullible, but these are men and women of integrity in my experiences with them. 2.  Much like the transfer of the Clemmer kid a couple of years ago, with Smith, the football team is getting a huge boost, but the impact on the basketball team will be just as great or maybe even greater.  With Smith playing post, it frees the Sigmund kid who will be coming back from injury, to play more with his face to the basket.  The Rebels basketball squad in my mind, will be "the program" in East Tennessee next year.
    • Could not agree more. After this year, McKenzie's new coach will have their work cut out for them. Staying in 1A would definitely be a huge plus. Most years there is not much difference in the top 5- 1A and 2A teams across the state, but after the top 5 or so there is normally a huge drop off for 1A. Regular season region play is a lot easier for 1A in West TN  right now.
