Cosby did squeak by GB, again flatford had to call 3 timeouts in first qtr to stop GB runs , refs must been from the tri cities JV , 4 games play in this district and it was the worst ive ever seen in my entire life . I think the these games where to big for the refs, maybe a small jv like freshman ball is for these guys.On a GB note tho Willis kid did have a nice dunk, but refs were having NO part of GB winning. GB beat them in every aspect possible.

Greenback fans LOVE to blame the refs..they blew an 18 point lead but the refs had no part of Greenback winning?!? GB lost 7 district games this year including 1 to Washburn and they finished 5th in the league (with the 2nd best team in the league..I’m sure the refs beat them in all those games too..that being said I could easily see GB going on the road and winning a region game

I don’t think Silver15 is from GB. We gave that game to Cosby pure and simple. You should beat us every time in theory. Very rarely do you see a team that only touches a basketball here and there over the summer and not start team practices until the day after football season ends (which is typically late November early December) compete with a year round club full of AAU players. How we beat you at home after 2 team practices and without our #23 Willis leaves me SMH. You all have got better and McKeehan is much improved after coming off an injury from what I hear. You must not be aware Willis had a surgically repaired broken collar bone in late November and was not sure he would play any round ball but came back mid January. So for one month we have had a complete team. Doesn’t help that the PG has been playing most the season with an injured ankle so he’s less than 100%. The picture you paint of GB kids underachieving is deceiving. They compete pretty well for district championships in the end up in basketball country considering! Be glad we don’t have time to work on press offense or Cosby would be in the consolation game and traveling in region.

Big hard fought win for UH over Unaka tonight. UH finally showed some toughness and punched a team back in the mouth. On a side note Unaka's guards basically palm and carry the ball on every possession so if your playing them next you may want to put that bird in someone's ear.

I can’t figure out the district 1. So University High struggles with Unaka huh? Unaka must be much improved or had some key people out when GB played them over Christmas break. They beat us by 11 in a game where we had our 2 leading scorers out Bailey & Willis and another top scorer and Sr. PG on the bench from mid 3rd qtr on. Hmm...

I don’t agree with “hard fought win”. UH won by 20 ish and ran away in the second half. UH did play well, but with the talent UH has, no game in district should be interesting. Trick is for them to just go out and play.

not sure I would want UH on any floor.

UH actually beat them by 19 tonight. It really wasn't that close considering UH really slowed it down in the 4th. Unaka tried to make up for talent deficiencies with physical play and UH decided to punch back tonight. The #33 kid coming off the bench for UH was the difference maker tonight.

I can't figure out d1 either.  It was always Hampton vs cland in both district and region.  Now its North greene and Uh. Cosby is still up front in d2, though I'm glad to see the kees competing on the hardwood.  And how about those lady kees

    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
    • Shopping? His family is loaded and he's 6'6 I'm pretty sure he could start anywhere in upper East TN,So no need to shop. Word is Witten got caught trying to work him out on campus and some 7 on 7 while playing athletics for Sullivan East. Word got around pretty quick and Someone turned them into TSSAA.
    • Quick update on Jacob -  Jacob celebrated his 16th birthday at Vanderbilt on Tuesday and has been in decent spirits.  His sense of humor has begun to show as he was visited by many friends.  He is swallowing a lot better now and has eaten some of his favorites (Chik-Fil-A and Five Guys).   He is getting prepared to head to Atlanta to the Shepherd Center first thing tomorrow morning.  His family has been waiting on insurance approval. In case you dont know the Shepherd Center it a world class facility and supposedly one of the best in the country for spinal injury rehab.  Praying for perfect results there. Considering the circumstances, Jacob is in decent spirits.  He has some reflexive movement in his legs which I think is probably a very positive sign.  Don't read too much into that just yet as there is no telling what the real prognosis is... just hopeful that is good thing.  I am really just happy that it seems like he has a punchers chance of getting something back.  He is a strong young man and very determined so I think he will fight as hard as he can in physical therapy while down in Atlanta. More than one of you has asked me about an address to send donations.  I know GoFundMe isn't for everyone.  If you want to go that route, you can make a check to "Blackman Wrestling Club" and we will pass anything received directly to the Kinderdines.   Jacob Kinderdine c/o Blackman Wrestling 4836 Trevino Court Murfreesboro, TN  37128 Also, want to thank everyone who has donated so far.  Jacobs dad will take a month off work and stay in Atlanta with him.  They need to learn how to take care of him and do home therapy work..... and surely Jacob will be glad his dad can be there.  All that could not happen without you all.  Depending on what happens, they will probably end up doing some home remodeling in order to accommodate Jacob at their home.  Thanks again. Here's a pic I lifted from Facebook of Jacob on Oxy talking to his Uncle.  LOL
