If History is any indication ( and it usually is ) Region 1 would have to have a " loaded team " to get to the 3rd round. Hampton has made it to the semis 4 times. That seems to be the barrier in our conference.

You guys have had a couple seasons lately were i thought you had a legit shot at going to Cookeville.

2016 was the most talented team we have ever had, and I say that as someone who graduated in '98 when we went 10-0 and to the 3rd round. It would have been nice to have had that AE game at home but man those guys were good too. That was one heck of a game against them.

Greeneville's starting center ( a kid named Dyer ) is transferring to South Greene.

It's Devin Dye.  His Older sister was a really good basketball and volleyball player for South Greene from 05-09 and ended up starting for Carson Newman in Basketball.  He started the last 2 years at center for the Devils so South Greene's Line will definitely get a big boost at 6ft 290 lbs and can move people around.

Did Greeneville get a new one?

No Greeneville didn't get a new one.  Him and one of the starting DL got into it so he decided to transfer to South Greene.  He grew up playing for  Nolichucky (Feeder school for South Greene) and got into the City School system going into his Freshman year.  I couldn't believe he even came to Greeneville with how die hard his family is when it comes to South Greene (His mother started on some State Championship Basketball teams for South Greene, Older Sister was a great basketball player there, and his younger Step Sister currently plays for South Greene)

I've never seen kids get eligible right away for leaving because they cant get along with other kids on the team. I'm not trying to be mean and if the transfer was going the other way you know Greeneville would make it work. I'm just saying the young man may be making a mistake if he thinks its easy to just change schools and get eligible right away.

I haven't either.  I don't know the whole situation but i would be pretty sure knowing his parents they have talked to the TSSAA or had South Greene call and go over everything with them.  I don't know if it's a situation where they got into a conflict and the Greeneville City School System wouldn't let him renew his tuition (This happened when I played our QB who started all 4 years when he got into a fight and his parents had to move into the City limits for him to play even though he has always been in the city school system since Kindergarten  or he would have had to go to Chuckey-Doak).  His parents are also divorced so it could be a change of residence.  Just speculation but i had heard he was transfer to SG before GoWarriors said anything about it

Not only a loaded team but a team that stays healthy. A loaded team around here means the "load" is always on the filed and none standing on the sidelines....We've had that loaded team a few times and injury grounded us...Seen it happen in season and playoff games

I hated to see Coby get hurt.  He's a fine young man

    • If someone needed their grades pumped up surley it would have to be for someone needing it to get to another level. If your intending on going to work right after high school it wouldn't matter. Why would someone in their right mind think if they screwed it up in high school that their ready for college. It has to be for an athlete to get them over the fence to get in and from that point the school their going to will cheat them through the rest of the way for their athletic skills just like the rest.
    • The new school will be on that road behind Home Depot next to a church. I'm wondering if this could take from Greenback or could it be the end of Greenback, they only have 200 students.
    • Yeah it will take the county kids in that area that were going to lenior city. They will move down to 4a I think
