Tennessee Soccer Community:

Just South of Nashville, in Middle Tennessee, sits the small and thriving community of Mount Pleasant. Situated about 30 miles southwest of Franklin, Mount Pleasant is home to three schools (Elementary, Middle, and High School) that are adjacent to one another creating the potential for a soccer powerhouse on one campus in one very supportive and very enthusiastic community. The Middle School and High School both have school grounds/fields that are ready to be used, school administrators that are ready to take their athletic programs to the next level by building both boys and girls soccer programs and cultivating an appetite for success that envisions future championships. The elementary school is a Reward School that has created a perfect scenario for kids soccer teams to flourish and feed directly into the middle school before stepping onto the pitch in high school, thus creating a pipeline of soccer dominance for many years to come. An adjacent community center is led by a community member who is ready to begin a kids league to support the sport and the future middle school and high school programs. Mount Pleasant schools are a part of Maury County. Maury County Public Schools have seen an increase in involvement in "the Beautiful Game" with new residents contributing to the growth in the community in recent years.

Here is what we need:

1. Any unused soccer goals willing to be donated

2. A coach who is ready to partner with stakeholders to build quality student-athletes resulting in state champions in a community ready to embrace this sport and benefit from the citizens the sport of soccer produces.

If anyone knows of soccer goals ready to be donated, please email Timothy Drinkwine, Ed.D. at [email protected]

Any interested individual who is ready to come to Mount Pleasant and help begin something special needs to also email Dr. Drinkwine (email above).

    • Yea I agree I will say tho I was a big “ v “ fan if an  opening ever did happen I think it would’ve been good to see him have a shot coming from a power house like Oakland. I’m sure he’s learned a lot from Kevin.  I bet he would bring a really good offense scheme IMO But after all this I just dunno anymore.  Whatever happens with the rumors an such if it did come to and opening I think this messes it all up.  The board members dreams are slowly slipping away now. I haven’t lived there for awhile I just hear what I hear, but my question is would there be any good potential candidates?? That’s why I don’t understand why people want b s out so bad who else could do any better ?? IMO there’s nothing attractive about it? As I stated earlier I went to the last game last year and taking a leak in a porta Potty is pretty sad and still nothing being done they say ..
    • I have a sophomore that can do 177 (preferred) or 192. Sent you an email.
    • speaking of board members how can a man get arrested 12 days ago and still be head coaching a team in TC school system? looks like your right about the tc board members. I bet it would be different if they had a kid on the team
