Blaster let me ask you a question. That Tower man said that culpepper man was wanting to be the coach.  Who is this culpepper man? I looked in my Murphy Fair book and his name is not mentioned anywhere.  What kind of mess is this?

Not sure who that Culpepper guy is all I know is that he don't know anything about football and definitely  don't know what it takes to run a program.

And a soccer field supposed to be level and the football field is crowned. And them using the field is by no means the reason he resigned. But I agree with you the booster club as well parents did a lot for the football team.  James Jones is the reason plain and simple and it's stupid that the director of schools doesn't get voted on by the county. Instead he does favors for his buddies that keep him in there. Man is dirty and I know a lot more but this isn't the place to voice that. I will definitely miss Coach Davis and our many talks in the field house before games and after. That man means a lot not just to me but a lot of former players. I hope whoever takes over does good but they won't find anyone that loved that program as much as Davis hands down.

I agree. James Jones has employeed family memebers from each of the school board who are not certified to work in a school system. He keeps the school board happy by offering positions to uncertified people in return for their votes on his contract extensions and pay increases. The whole system is corrupt. The school board does not want to hold him accountable because they are invested by meritless work rather than service to constituents and parents of the community that want to see their educational system excel.

I went back and read. I assume this Culpepper cat is the one on here running his mouth about Coach Davis. What a flake he must be. Roy is the only one who gets to talk about Coach Davis and his glasses. LMBO. Much respect for the job Davis did at Polk County.

Barney what kind of mess is this? That Davis man has that nappy looking mustache.  That Reynolds man used to have those goofy looking glasses.  Where did that Reynolds man go? He is not in my Murphy Fair book anymore.  You think im joking but im not.

Roy, those goofy glasses crossed the Alabama state line.  Do you think you could send that Reynolds man a new pair of glasses by your goat and billy goat can bring Grider another boy?

Great point and I've done my part. Living in a small county it's hard. People are set in their ways and don't want to believe what's going on

Then take the next step and run for the position yourself. If your old coach is the man represented by most opinions on here, I'm sure he would encourage the same. It's OK to complain, but much better to be the solution. I've re read this three times, and would like to sound less like a smart aleck, but I'm being sincere. Coaches strive to create leaders within their own ranks, and from your posts you seem to be one... don't doubt yourself and others will follow.

If I and a teaching degree I would definitely be open to coaching the team. Definitely love the sport and love that school and program not just football but all the athletics there.

Polk had some good teams back several years ago. They beat the Pirates a time or two. Good luck to Coach Davis in his new endeavors.

One game they had those black and red throw back uniforms up  there and looked like those flying monkeys from OZ in our backfield all night.  The QB and running back were like the strawman in that scene when the monkeystomped a very fast Pirate team up there that went on to the Boro.
