He has been there from 1993-2000 and 2006-2018. At Perry County in between that time. Wasn't Rice on the rumor radar to leave a few years back to be on Coach Creasy's staff at Oakland? Edit: Yes he son was QB. Edited January 8, 2019 by Southtowner
jimmycrackedthatcorn
Yes his son was going to play for Creasy at Oakland a couple of years ago. Creasy likes to hire former head coaches as assistants.

Southtowner
Coach Rice always seemed to have huge numbers playing football for the 1A Wayne County teams through the years. And with Rockvale having 1800 students, I can only imagine the type numbers he will have. Wish him and Rockvale the best. Good luck to Wayne County going forward as well. He had 3 sons that were QBs. Two were Mr. Football. The other won a state championship and was MVP. TheAmbassador
Wayne County won’t be the same without Coach Rice. That’s a big loss for your school.

Big loss, yes... don't automatically assume that WC falls off though. With the tradition and fan support there, they'll be fine with the right guy.
