Red Rebels
I kinda saw this coming Ron. Bearden is battle tested. We still have a lot of basketball left to play. I'm glad we saw this defense now instead of in tournament play. I don't know if we can do anything about it, but at least we've seen it. QSouth89
District 4AAA Standings 1. Bearden: 14-1 (22-5) 2. Maryville: 14-1(25-2) 3. Knoxville Catholic: 11-4 (21-5) 4. West: 8-7 (11-14) 5. Farragut: 8-7 (12-16) 6. William Blount: 7-8 (15-13) 7. Hardin Valley: 4-11 (11-15) 8. Lenoir City: 2-13 (7-17) 9. Heritage: 0-16 (1-21) District 4AAA play ends Friday with Bearden at Farragut; Hardin Valley at Maryville; Lenoir City at Catholic; West at William Blount and Heritage has completed their district portion of their schedule. Bearden has the tie breaker over Maryville if both teams finish tied for first place. Catholic is 3rd, HVA 7th, Lenoir City 8th and Heritage 9th. Here is where things get interesting based on tie breakers. If West and Farragut win on Friday West is still 4th, Farragut 5th and William Blount 6th. If William Blount and Farragut win: Farragut is 4th, West is 5th and William Blount is 6th. If William Blount wins and Farragut loses West is 4th, William Blount is 5th and Farragut 6th. Crazy times lol. The tournament match-ups are: 8/9 winner plays the 5 with the winner of that game playing 4. 6./7 winner plays 3. 1 and 2 have a bye to the semi-finals. The District tournament is at William Blount.
REBELRON
Very impressive win by Bearden. Really impressed by Drew Pember guarding Joe Anderson the way he did.

Very good points, RR. I hate to say it but IMO, for Maryville even to have a chance to beat Bearden, Joe Anderson has to have a HUGE game. In the first game, Joe played great and it still took a great last second three point shot by him to get the W. Last night, Pember did a great defensive job on him and Bearden won with ease. DB will get a bye, but #2 seed will play #7 seed in 1st round... no bye for the #2 seed anymore. DB will play winner of #4 vs #5. Winner on #2 vs #7 will play winner of #3 vs #6. Anyway, thats what I heard today. May be right may be wrong. DB will play Saturday night / Semi-Final night for D 1-AAA

I'm actually new to the Tennessee side as far as high school sports go. Lol. I would've thought the way you've described the bracket as being the correct way as well. Do you know how D-B and Science Hill girls tiebreaker for first will be settled since it looks like it will finish that way?

DB girls won coin toss today. Will be 1 seed if they end tied with SH. Also because there is a tie and a coin toss, for the girls bracket only, both the 1 and 2 seed get a bye. If they remain tied of course
