Just my two cents but I wonder how many of those 19 coaches that applied would have had they known their names were going to be in the paper for everyone to read, especially their current employer. Wasn't very smart on whoever passed that info onto the paper or the paper for passing it on to the public.

I wonder also.

Snoball I'm sure in a very small town like Hartsville news would travel fast to the people the program means so much to like yourself.  I hope you guys get a great coach that can keep the winning tradition going on but if something didn't work out on your new hire a lot of good prospective new applicants may shy away the next time an opening comes up. Some places may not take to kind knowing their coach was looking to jump ship.

your point doesn’t fall on deaf ears.

that being said, i expect/respect men to reach for the brass ring when the opportunity presents itself. it’s an adult decision.

adult decisions come with great reward and sometimes with great consequences.

its a good life lesson for the kids and the coaches.

if that upsets some on here (I say on here because I’ve heard no one outside of here bemoan the issue) then so be it. I can’t change minds already made up.

personally, i’ll save my tears for real tragedies.

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
