I look for Dyersburg to be strong again. Yes we are losing a lot of seniors and you can’t replace a Chris Russell. But the JV was undefeated and the middle school only lost 1 game by a couple of points to an undefeated Paris Inman team. Hopefully the injury bug will stay away from them unlike last year. The future looks very bright with lots of talent coming down the pipeline.

What is Haywood looking like for 2019? Do they have a lot returning?

I promise I’m not stalking you, haha. I believe they graduated around 30ish seniors. That’s a lot of talent and leadership gone. Not to mention losing their head coach. They will have talent coming back though, they always do.

That is a lot of Seniors but with Germantowns coach as their head coach now I expect even more from them now. They will be legit no doubt about that. That will be a tough road game to start the season.

Haywood will be young, all of which saw playing time last year. Got a stable of upcoming sophomore talent as well. Don’t be surprised if they’re bigger, new strength coach from Germantown is legit

Wouldnt be at all suprised if it is another close game with yall again this year. Chances are it comes down to the 4th quarter again with a final drive being the difference! After all last year I predicted that HC would be down in the 4th with the ball driving late into the 4th quarter with time running out and HC scoring.

Hard to replace Russell but Dyersburg going to give it a good try with preseason all state sophomore. 6’1 and 250 lbs. He broke every record on the books in middle school and is still growing. He is a beast.

Week 7 of the Season and so far this region is as follows:

1. Haywood 5-1 1-0, Crockett County 3-3 1-0, Dyersburg/Ripley 3-3 1-1, Obion County 1-5 0-2.

After Haywood there hasn't been much seperation  in this region 2 through 3 so far. Quick analysis of each team is that Haywood is dominant again and only reloaded instead of rebuild. Crockett County seems to be gaining some momentum at the right time after a rough start. Dyersburg has played some tough teams close, but has hit a rough patch. Ripley looks to be improved but hits the toughest part of their schedule. Obion County most likely missed out on there chance to sneak in the playoffs with their loss to Ripley a couple weeks ago. There are so many scenarios however that this region could end in. The questions left to be answered are can Haywood close out the region undefeated? Will Crockett avenge their losses to Obion and Dyersburg last season? Can Dyersburg rebound from a rough stretch and get back to their winning ways. Can or will Ripley knock off Haywood or Dyersburg? Will Obion get some help and get into the playoffs?

    • Yea I agree I will say tho I was a big “ v “ fan if an  opening ever did happen I think it would’ve been good to see him have a shot coming from a power house like Oakland. I’m sure he’s learned a lot from Kevin.  I bet he would bring a really good offense scheme IMO But after all this I just dunno anymore.  Whatever happens with the rumors an such if it did come to and opening I think this messes it all up.  The board members dreams are slowly slipping away now. I haven’t lived there for awhile I just hear what I hear, but my question is would there be any good potential candidates?? That’s why I don’t understand why people want b s out so bad who else could do any better ?? IMO there’s nothing attractive about it? As I stated earlier I went to the last game last year and taking a leak in a porta Potty is pretty sad and still nothing being done they say ..
    • I have a sophomore that can do 177 (preferred) or 192. Sent you an email.
    • speaking of board members how can a man get arrested 12 days ago and still be head coaching a team in TC school system? looks like your right about the tc board members. I bet it would be different if they had a kid on the team
