Easier to win at Hillwood because Metro teams aint as good

We agree on part of this.  It is easier to win at Hillwood than at Warren Co.  The part about Metro teams not being good I disagree with however.  Warren County has to play all of those Murfreesboro powerhouses.  Hillwood is in a region where Hunters Lane and Glencliff have been awful in recent years.

There is talent in the halls.  The trick is going to be getting them on the field and an Administration that is NOT supportive.

Good luck Warren County.  The kids deserve better from the Administration.

I agree there is talent at WC.  There is talent at every school in the state and some years talent is better than others.   Just work hard and compete.

Coaching and admin changes are coming. Time will tell.

Its more than Talent to be constant in winning. Yes, Jimmys and Joes win ball games. However, how is the community support, how is the Admin, what about the Facilities? Are these in line to create a winning culture! These things all need to be on the same page in order to be competitive at any program. The top schools in the state constantly have all 3 of these in order to be the best. Are there other factors, absolutely. How does Warren County compare to the other teams in there district and surrounding schools? What makes kids come out and be a part of something if it's just mediocrity? New Coach can change some things, but not all!

    • Why would the tax payers be responsible for paying for only a coach? In recent years with all the theft from various programs in schools from different programs with booster clubs (not just sports) the State of TN has made alot of rules surrounding booster clubs and how they handle money.  I have two documents to review, 1 is 40 pages from the state comptroller and the other is 37 pages from my district, so I can consider starting a booster club for my middle school program. It has been too much trouble in the past for the other coaches.  There is no way there needs to be an adult in the school building for 7 hours a day with no responsibilities except coaching.
    • The only thing that was said at half time of the 45-0 game was Coach Story, he said: "I know y'all have been out there a lot, but kick-off team, y'all need to get down there faster!" Then he and the other coaches proceeded to go into the coaches office and we all went nuts!  It was the only time I can ever remember coaches not saying anything at half time. Definitely a great memory!!!
