East Hickman

Any word on East Hickman? The job was the 1st one open and they have yet to fill the void.

It’s sad to see that program so down.  They have such a nice facility in a growing community.  The right coach could change the culture there for sure.

I have not heard anything one way or another from the AD.  Tellico Plains is also in the same boat as far as when it was posted and no publicly visible movement.

I have heard all along the interim coach would get this job, and that they just have to go through the Dog and pony show.

I heard they were hiring an assistant coach from McGavock.

They had 50+ apply for it from what I understand and supposedly held interviews a few weeks ago. So who knows what the hold up is and what is going on. I think the interim Coach is a really good man and seems to have a lot of good ideas/plans , but is he the best candidate if they had 50+ apply according to the paper? The most important thing about whoever the new Coach is, will be his ability to get the student athletes to come back and play football, they lost so many last year , that quit during the season and that doesn't even count the ones that just are not playing.

The above guy mentioned was called and offered the job and accepted ….so no assuming here just facts Jack!!!

So , what is his background and where has he coached?? The only thing I could find on-line was that he was an assistant at McGavock.
