I have to agree.. Waverly isn’t a big time powerhouse program, but they have been better than Whitwell.

I think we will be alright . We have all but 1 starter returning on the offensive  line and defensive  line. We got talent on the team . Think we might surprise some people that think we will take a step back

I think Wavo will be a 2 loss team win they meet my Golden Tide in the playoffs !!! That's my crystal ball prediction  !!!RTR

I think you are exactly right. Waverly has a great chance to make the semifinals each and every season. Their primary competition up to that point most years will be Riverside.  They aren’t matched up with that region that includes Peabody and Union City until the semis. It’s a very favorable draw for them.

Kids got to meet the new coach today.  Word is they feel really good about the positive vibes.  Seem to be excited about the change.  Shout out to the AD for doing the groundwork on this hire.

Whitwell has had 2 good teams in the past 30 years,  1991 and 2018.   The 91 team may have actually been better given it was in the old A-AA-AAA system.  They get by the Pirates in OT and dink in a last second FG against GB to make for the Gold in 2018.  The next 2 seasons will be winning season for Whitwell but don't expect them to be great and they will drop off after that.  The key will be who the get in there to replace the Waverly Flash.

So the team that went 11-2 in 2017 wasn’t a “good” team??
