2019 Catholic Invitational - December 6 and 7

Hope this email finds everyone catching up on some well deserved rest.  With the way the TSSAA schedule falls next wrestling season with the Football State Championship games being on December 5, 6, and 7.  We will be having the 23^rd Catholic Invitational on December 6 and 7.  The tournament is always the weekend of the state football championships.  I hope this does not affect your schedule to bad.  If you would like to come to the Catholic Invitational this year please respond back as soon as possible.

2019 Knoxville Catholic Invitational Information

                                     December 6, and December 7 2019

 

This year’s entry fee will be $200.00

      

The Seed meeting for this year’s Catholic invitational will be on Wednesday December 4, 2019 at 6:00pm in the library.  Please make sure you have everything in track wrestling by 12:00pm on Wednesday December 4, 2019.  Fax#: 865-560-0314.  Seeding criteria 1^st State champion, 2^nd State Placer, 3^rd Regional Medalist, 4^th Returning Tournament Champion, 5^th Returning Tournament medalist, 6^th Head to Head, 7^th Overall Records, and 8th Vote.

 

Weight-ins will start at 4:00pm on Friday December 6, 2019, with opening ceremonies and wrestling beginning as close to 6:00pm as possible.  We will wrestle the first two Championship Rounds round of 32 and round of 16 and the first two Consolation rounds on five mats Friday evening.  Weigh-ins for Saturday morning will be 8:00am till 9:00am and wrestling will start at 9:30am with the quarter finals and 3^rd round of consolation.  As soon as this round finishes we will start semifinals and consolation quarters and consolation semifinals.  We will start Championship finals, consolation finals, and award ceremonies as soon as we finish the other rounds.  Medals will be given 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd, 4^th, 5^th  6^th, places.  There will be team plagues give out for 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd, and 4^th place and best wrestler, best match award also.

 

JV wrestlers can wrestle in the tournament they are non-scorers if we have spots.
