Best Team to Not Make State Tournament

With Region Tournament upsets, I always think back to the truly great teams that never made it to the Glass House. I would say that many of the best teams never to make the trip to the Boro are from Memphis, but I would offer the 1995 Oakland Patriots, who were upset by Lincoln Co. in the Region 4AAA tournament. I think it was only their 2nd loss of the year. Thoughts?

BTW and Raleigh Egypt out of Memphis!!!! By FAR the best two teams at home right now!

2006-07 Union City got beat by Humboldt in the region.

UC had won State in 2005-06 and won went undefeated in 2007-08. That upset cost them a possible 3 peat.

The 05-06 Middleton team that lost to Union City in the sectional was a great team.

02-03 and 05-06 Bolivar Central were great ones too.

Dude you’ve got to get out of Memphis. I watched a very good Knox Catholic team get beat by OakRidge last night. I promise you BTW could not beat them. They go 6’11 and 6’9 on the block and have some great guards. BTW would get beat by 25 by this AAA team.

2016 White County boys were upset in the region semis by Bradley. They were 29-0 at the time. WC set 2 amazing 3 point STATE records that year. We had 31 threes in one game and had the most 3 pointers by a team in a single season. All 5 could shoot the 3.

2014 Humboldt Team went 27-5 and lost by 4 at home to BTW in substate. Could've repeated as state champs

Lies! Memphis basketball rules at state just about every year! Especially in AAA. YOU KNOW THIS!
