thegreatone36
So, what is the word with Beech and fixing the field.
tandem
For what it’s worth, Sumner Co has not paid for any athletic field at Beech. Nor has it paid a penny for Beech’s field house. It also didn’t pay for Beech’s track.....oops, forgot, they don’t have a track. Every field, football included, is there because of the fund raising and hard work of parents and faculty at Beech. I’m in favor of turf at Beech. Not sure it will ever happen.

With a turf field, schools can work year round with their teams. Junior Pro programs can also use it as a money driven attraction. Makes since on a lot of fronts. Schools are moving to turf fields due to MULTIPLE school teams playing on the football field. At some schools you have varsity football, JV football, 9th grade football, middle school football, varsity men's soccer, jv men's soccer, varsity women's soccer, jv women's soccer, varsity men's lacrosse, jv men's lacrosse, varsity women's lacrosse and jv women's lacrosse. That many teams using a field even just for games will wear out a field.
