Not really because there are no seeds until after sectionals.  It’s the qualifier to make it into the tournament.

Why is it not called the Sub-State anymore? They went to the 3 team Sectionals for a while until it became ridiculously tough to get through some of them (ahem district 6A) and teams started intentionally losing the Regional championships to get an easier draw to the State Tournament as a 2 seed playing 1 from a week regional.
