They lose all 5 starters and their 6th man. They’ve had some really good jv teams and freshman teams over the last two years.

I’d expect to see a solid team that plays scrappy. I think they will only have 1 senior who came off the bench this year.

So the upcoming junior and sophomore class has only lost 4-5 games combined so far in their Bearden careers. Which half were to Catholic when Akeem Aduspie played JV because of transferring. All losses came in 1 possession games.

If memory serves me correct, Bearden did have Tyler Nordin (who transferred into Bearden) playing as well as a couple of juniors and some of their varsity players. If anyone knows Coach Hutchens he doesn’t play juniors on JV and the only guys still playing for Catholic are Akeem Odusipe and Sam Sompayrac. Those jv games were down to the wire and Bearden has some good young talent returning and should compete. Bearden and Maryville will be the top two teams in 4AAA next year.  Maryville probably has the edge with Anderson and Cornollio returning. It seems like everyone in the district had a lot of seniors on their team. HVA and West had some talented freshman teams. Might as well play them as sophomores.

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
