Played Gordonsville and Cornersville. Defense looked good; offense was shaky. Overall, we will have talent but no depth. Not sure if we will dress out 35 kids this season.

You think the lesser amount of kids is because of coaching change ?   We only had one it was against Camden. Haywood backed out of our other one. We ended splitting up our players and playing black against white.  I’m sure you guys will be just fine. You guys got a good coach

I think Waverly found a good coach. I also think it’s going to be a rocky first year. The last coach didn’t exactly set them up with the best scedual. Tough first quarter of the season then a Real Game Vs Mcewen for the first time in like 30 years(Mcewen also has probably the most players and best team they have had in 10 years) then the old coaches team that has the Simpson kid. (He can sling the ball around). I think Waverly has a big freshman class coming in. Just going to take time.

Looks easier then last years schedule imo.

Let’s see. Huntington didn’t lose anyone. Fairview either. Camden is improved. Or let’s do it this way.go back to every game last year and take away the offense that’s not going to be on the team this year and tell me how many games would have been won without JD. Stanfield and Montez. Waverly has a lot of seniors but it’s not going to be easy this year. It’s going to take a while

Sounds like your saying everyone got better or stayed the same except you guys. Or your schedule didn't really get harder you just may not have the same mules to pull the wagon this year like you did last year?

I don’t think the teams are that much better than last year but a new coach and replacing 90% of the offense on a offensive team is going to make it a rocky first year. I see 3-5 losses

    • Well, your Big Western Hunt better turn up some Zebras to come graze on the Stones to make the jungle gametime ready again and make sure the plumber bros. still will come service the facilities at the Mecca. I hope your weekend is Fowl. Tell Rip hello from the Five Oh. Maybe the Gravedigger will catch a ride with Alphaniner on a flyover soon to BNA.
    • It’s not hearsay, just patently false. As one of those young coaches he apparently “ran off”, coach never once ridiculed or degraded anyone. Sure he challenged kids and coached them very hard,  but we have different definitions of you call that degrading. Coach Hammontree changed my life when he gave me the chance to work for him. I learned more about being a man and caring for the people around me in 4 years working for him than I did in 20 years of my life. No one sacrificed more than he did. I left Heritage because I felt there would never be the support necessary to help the program succeed. I’m tired of hearing people drag others down especially those they truly don’t know. Coach has moved on and a new coach is there. Just let the man live and root for the team.
    • Waiting on the Great One.   White Horse and Rip have a big weekend in the woods, and the Sheriff is working the overtime here.      Turkey season awaits…..Big Gobblers everywhere.
