I have had a problem with the Milan stands for years especially the visitor stands. Haven’t been to Waverly in a couple of decades so I can’t comment on how bad theirs are but Milan is horrible.

On another note though the stadium is about to get a complete over haul in the next couple of years. Both sides of the stands will be knocked down and rebuilt with the home side being on the current visitors side. The parking lot will be redone with an entrance paying homage to the 9 teams to have made it to the championship. All of that is a go. They are now trying to decide if they want turf or not. Combine all that with the new scoreboard they recently got with the field house that is in great shape and Johnnie Hale will look amazing. Excited for our future.

Yall got the Cowboys new stadium compared to waverly..lol

If you are using the Walmart theory, I never understood how my friends at South Pitt are only 1A. Not only do they have a Walmart but they also have a Cracker Barrell. Not to mention the state's biggest fireworks store.

What we got that matters is Lodge Skillet.

Yes, and I agree. However, their weight room isn't the best and when I do attend games at Huntingdon, they seem to have scoreboard issues, which is included in "facilities" right? Also, I don't know how Huntingdon is 1A, but they are.

It’s been said numerous times why Huntingdon is 1A. There are 5 high schools in Carroll co.

Not trying to be argumentative, but you have to agree with his position. If you're going to use a comparison with another school,  Scotts Hill is 2AA football, and there's practically no "town" there around it, just as West Carroll and most 1A programs. Not accusing or speculating anything, but I do find it odd the disparity of size of some communities and their school enrollment.

Scott’s Hill is pulling many kids from Lexington.

Depends on what you call "many". Pin Oak and South Haven are classified as swing schools where student populations have traditionally split (since the late 70's, at least) which high school they attended... I can only think of a handful that have come from the other schools since our football program was started almost ten years ago (which has always been the case), and the most prominent was already a junior in our first season. By "handful", I'm speaking of less than ten.

Why does that blow your mind? Huntingdon ain’t third the size of Union City and they where 1a for years

A lot of kids who live in UC go to Obion. Huntingdon has a population double or more of WC's small towns and communities. Through this decade we've been as close as 10 or so to y'all in hs enrollment. The gap seems to be widening now though

Hwy 72 exit off I 24 is the reason.

That’s Kimball you are thinking about . Some call it North Pittsburg, some call it South Jasper.

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
