Hookfin leaves Haywood to take a job in Arkansas. Who will be Haywood’s next coach?

If Hookfin was at Haywood, this was their district for as long as he was there. Now, this is Dyersburg's district for the time being. I hate to see this decision but you can't blame them. However, Haywood's Superintendent (Joey Hassell I believe) will have to make a homerun hire in order for Haywood to get the power back. What also kills Haywood is the fact that it's April 17th. In 10 weeks from now, it'll be July 4th. Interim route or hire from with-in makes a lot since now.

It's never too late... there are big time coaches out there who would love to have a shot at this program.

Hookfin woke a sleeping giant. If nothing else, he showed how viable that program can be in the right hands. No idea what the administration and community support is like, but they have some of the best athletes in West TN year in and year out.

I can’t blame Haywood or any school for trying. Always want to get the best coach you can. But he won’t coach again unless it’s a private school or out of state. If at all.

I was really surprised when I got the news. 

It was my understanding that Hook really enjoyed being the head of the tomcats.

Hate they lost Hook! Hope they dont do what Liberty did and fall off to near nothing!
