I thought the city's talent level was down this year. Yes, there are a few really good players but not as strong as the past few years.

With 4 guys this good, there are usually a lot of mid-major, high mid-major guys that are sleeping all over the place.

Well I guess you could say that it is down, sort of. The class of 2020 isn't that deep. There is Matt Murrell and that's it, as far be being high level recruits. But we all know that there is plenty of talent around. Who eles in the class of 2020 is being highly recruited?

Nobody that comes right off the top of my head. The talent seems to have started to fall off 2016-17. This year seemed to be the valley (I know Wiseman was in this class) then it's going to start climbing again next year.

It's not uncommon for it to go in cycles. Does anyone remember how talented that 2006 class was? Thaddeus Young, Willie Kemp, Wayne Chism, Brandan Wright, Tyler Smith, Jarvis Varnado. Liberty won it all.

Yeah, I remember that class, but I think the class of 96 (?) was just as talented, if not more with Tony Harris (East), Robert O'Kelly (White Station), Cory Bradford (Raleigh-Egypt), Marcus Moody (Overton), Jimmy 'Snap' Hunter (Trezevant). I think East won it that year. If I remember correctly, Tony went on the be the Freshman of the Year in the SEC, Cory was the Freshman of the Year in the Big 10 and and Robert O'Kelly went on to be the Freshman of the Year in the ACC. All three were the POY, respectively, in their senior years I believe. MM went on to have a good career at Memphis.

I remember that class. White Station and East both made it to the state tournament.
