sad but true. The future is still the future but history tells us that this region from top to bottom is always hard. Last year the last placed team in our region would have made it to the semis if they were in the right region. I honestly believe that. There are no " gimme " games. 

I know that Alcoa is on the stupid run of dominance but from top to bottom this must be the hardest in the state. 

Milan back to back vs Alcoa & CPA i think* several years ago.

Liberty ( not in this region anymore ) back to back vs Alcoa 3-4 years ago. 

Covington back to back vs Alcoa the last 2 years. 

No disrespect to Alcoa but the run they are on is just stupid. No one team will ever match it again IMO. 

Rankin and company have formulated a master plan for developing and keeping top notch players that are just simply willing to play at the highest level to win. I have nothing but respect for what they do. When I watch the team on film all is see is a bunch of kids doing exactly what they are supposed to be doing exactly how they are supposed to be doing it.... They do not run anything flashy or surprising. They do what they do and make you stop it. Nobody has been able to stop it in the last several years. At Alcoa it is gold ball or bust. 

Liberty did not go to back to back title games. They were one hit wonders. Got beat the year prior in the semis by CPAy.

Milan brings back a lot and so does McNairy. Milan beat McNairy last year. In what ways has McNairy improved in your eyes to help them take the step past Milan??

I think that game will be a toss up. Maybe McNairy looking to get revenge will put them on top. They really improved over the season last year so I think they will be scary this year. Not putting Milan down because I know they will be ready to play some good football. Tough tough region. Any team can go down on any given Friday night.

Last I heard Covington and Huntingdon are scrimmaging Aug 9th on the carpet. Should be a good preview as this contest has been a close hard hitting scrimmage the past couple years. I dont know if Purps royal nose can stand two trips on the magic carpet this year.

You know I are at Mallards a couple of weeks ago. Some of those hairy chested, tobacco chewing women over there in Mustank land can actually cook.
