Loudon vs. Greenback will be a battle this year.

Yes it will

I agree it will, I tried to pick teams that are highly ranked in their classification. Atm Loudon is ranked 28th in Preps. Milan by comparison was 2nd in 3A vs the #1 of 2A. I'd like to see your game though, even considered skipping our Sweetwater game to do it.

The games you picked a good games all those teams will be ranked higher than us at that point in time anyway.

Oneida is suppose to be better than last year, and are currently #12 according preps. Oliver Springs is currently #9 according to preps.

It should be a competitive game. I'm also surprised no one has voted for the Riverside and Lewis County game yet. I thought both teams were to be decent this year.

South Pitt. Is #2 in 1a and Sequatchie is #14 in 3A. Their game last year was a pretty good game. 19-0 from memory was the score with South Pitt winning. Both teams are supposed to be better then last year.

I would think Lake Co-Union City would be on this list. Both seem to be preseason top 5 teams

Your right, that would have been a good game to vote on. I tried to pick 2 teams from east and west. Some peoples schedule was easier to find than others.

That's what Lake County has listed on their schedule. I didn't put alot of effort into it either. But that game would indeed be a good game to have voted on even though I think Union City will run away with it.

I sense a little sarcasm in the “Union City will run away with it”. For what it’s worth, if your not being sarcastic Union city won’t. They are notorious for getting off to a slow start on the season. They usually take a couple of games to get their offense in sync and get rid of turnovers. I think this will be a great game and Lake Co has a great chance of winning.

    • Personally I was pulling for Lee Hammonds to get another shot. He’s earned it!
    • Tyler Williams was the logical choice to be named head football. He served as the Highlanders’ strength coach and offensive coordinator.
    • I went to practice yesterday and liked what I saw for the most part. Derek and crew have done a good job during the off-season. I was very impressed with the size of some of those boys on the offensive line. My only regret was one of the boys I was really pulling for to have a good year was dismissed from the team. I have to applaud the coaches for setting examples for the others, no one is bigger than the team. One other thing, I was hoping with that big rain we got this week some of that  yellow paint would dissolve but it didn't.
    • Couple of thoughts: 1.  I just don't understand all the intricacies in TSSAA transfer rules anymore.    William Blount had a kid that played the final part of the basketball season with them this year,  that played at Hardin Valley last year, and played football for Bearden this year.  I say that to say, I know the coaches and the AD and the Principal at WB and I will never believe they would do something they knew was wrong.  They are men of character.  I BELIEVE the same thing about the coaches and administration at Maryville.  Call me gullible, but these are men and women of integrity in my experiences with them. 2.  Much like the transfer of the Clemmer kid a couple of years ago, with Smith, the football team is getting a huge boost, but the impact on the basketball team will be just as great or maybe even greater.  With Smith playing post, it frees the Sigmund kid who will be coming back from injury, to play more with his face to the basket.  The Rebels basketball squad in my mind, will be "the program" in East Tennessee next year.
    • Could not agree more. After this year, McKenzie's new coach will have their work cut out for them. Staying in 1A would definitely be a huge plus. Most years there is not much difference in the top 5- 1A and 2A teams across the state, but after the top 5 or so there is normally a huge drop off for 1A. Regular season region play is a lot easier for 1A in West TN  right now.
