2019 Rockvale Rockets Inaugural Season

Coach Rick Rice will have a lot of firsts coming up in Rockvale's first ever season.

(Week 1) First game, @LaVergne (2-8 last season). LaVergne trying to turn things around.

(Week 2) First home game vs Franklin County, 5-5 in 2018.

(Week 3) First Region 3-AAAAAA game @ Warren County, 2-8 in 2018.

Then you have the rest of 3-AAAAAA to go.

Actually, I think it would be great if your band played it. Embrace it like LSU and Clemson do with Hold That Tiger. Good luck it’s tough starting from scratch. I’ve been there.

Bold prediction. I hope your right, Coach Rice seems like a good guy. Don't think it'll be long before they're contending for a playoff spot every year

Coach Rice was a force at Wayne County. Before some of you start saying oh but that is 1A, remember the name Kevin Creasy .

Doesn't matter what class if you can coach, your gonna win. Oakland's title team in 2008 was lead by a HC who just 1 yr exp as a HC in 1A. That said, Creasy inherited a great situation, but to his credit, made it even better. 

Big question to me is how committed is Coach Rice for the long term? He's put in plenty of years already

Rockvale has 7 games that they could win. The three I don't think they have much of a chance are oakland, Blackman, and Cookeville. I do think Rockvale loses the first two though just because it will take them a little while to gel and because they missed out on spring practice. I see a WC win and a CC win. The others I see as a toss up. Just my opinion. Wish the rockets luck this season. Good staff and good leadership.
