Most Improved Team from 1A

Recommended Posts

We all know who the top 4 teams (Greenback, South Pittsburg, Huntingdon, and Lake Co.) are going to be in 1A football per everyone's comments on other threads.  Taking away from those 4 teams, who does everyone think will be the most improved team in 1A this year (knowing that not a single down of football has yet to be played)?  What teams do you feel will surprise some people sort of like Cornersville did a couple of years ago but not even going that far, just improving all around?

I agree about the Friday Main Events being able to answer this, I was just curious as to how the everyday high school fan sees these teams.  I know it is hard to determine who you would think would be better this year based on last year considering no one has played a snap yet.  I know many of you all see a lot more teams than I do each year so you all would be able to answer these questions based on how they may have finished last year.

I agree Oliver Springs will be another good football team this year and look for coalfield to be improved they returned quite a few players. I'm curious about Midway I'm hearing good things out there but I just don't know if they had the athletes to put it all on the field.

What’s happened to Wayne co?A few years ago that’s all you used to hear about. I’ve not heard a thing other than I think there coach left .

They do have a new coach.  They hired from within.  I don't think too much will change from that aspect.

They're not like Greenback that can go out and find replacements year in and year out and not suffer some type of down year or two. :)

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
