this man said “slight edge”

I’m wondering what games he saw Thursday & Friday

no disrespect BPM but Lordy it might be a long regular season for the purple puppies

Knee jerk reaction might think that....  I think they will get it together as the season goes on. If memory serves me correct Milan was slow out of the gate last year as well.

Don’t matter how much we shore up the D. Can’t win if we can’t move the football. -24 yards in the first half was pitiful.

We scrimmaged them in the spring and i thought from what I saw we would be gawd awful this season...its not yall its them.  They are a great team. We had negative yards as well. They looked like a 5a school

There are no 5A schools in west TN that can play with them. Maybe the whole state.

This is a major overstatement. Peabody is going to win the 2A state championship as long as they avoid major injuries. However, they would lose to Haywood, Henry County, and Dyersburg. The depth would be too much. Don't get me started with all the Middle Tennessee larger schools they would lose to. They have 12 really good seniors, but there's only 12. They play a ton of players both ways, you're not beating good big schools having to play that many players both ways. Again, great at the 2a level, but saying they would beat any 5a school is ignorant, and should be called out on it. Depth comes into play when you play larger schools. Now......You have to admit Milan has underachieved going back to even Morris's last couple years. Peabody's personnel is probably a little better than Milan's, but not 35-14 better. Not -24 yards at half better. They are simply better COACHED!

Show me where I said they would beat any 5A school?  Also in regards to the 3 schools you have mentioned I have seen all 3 this year and I even work at one of them. Haywood and dyersburg are 4A by the way. Trenton is better than all 3. I have have even had coaches at these schools that you mention tell me trenton is better. So I stand by my statement. But again show me where I said they ARE better than ANY 5A school as you claim. For you to say I said that is an ignorant statement and you deserve to be called out on it.

Oh and back to the depth comment you made. Trenton has more players on their roster than Dyersburg and Haywood. And they rotate 9 players on each line. And yes the Trenton personnel is 35-14 better than Milan . Coaching is one of the reasons the personnel is 35-14 better.

Henry County might argue that..but They are very very good and they got size too.. If they dont win  2a  walking away I wanna see the team that beats them.

"There are no 5a schools in west tn that can play with them, maybe even the state" You're saying Henry County wouldn't even play with them.  I know Dyersburg and Haywood are 4a. I was talking about bigger schools in general. I would put money that both would beat Peabody. Haywood would beat them easily. Dyersburg would be close. Yes, they may have more overall players on the roster, but they also have more that have to play both ways. Westview might even beat them having Simpson and one of the best coaches in the state. Again, I believe Peabody is really good and will win the 2a crown

    • From my understanding, Jay Graham pretty much took over HC responsibilities in that game, so you can thank him. Cute Andy didn’t need help, though. Cute Andy could’ve beaten us without any assistant coaches.
    • Tax payer dollars are paid for certified teachers to "teach" and then coach. The primary job is to teach.  There are some district that ay awesome supplements and others that don't. Dyersburg and Dyer County are pretty close if I remember correctly. I would imagine that Football and basketball are above $10,000 now.  I've heard that Milan is $20,000 for boys basketball. I would imagine that football is more than that in Milan.  Collierville has camps that coaches get paid extra for. 3 camps a year, 100 kids a camp, $30,000 right there.  There are places like Memphis-Shelby County schools where the supplements are garbage even for the head coaches. I made less than $3,000 as the head assistant at Germantown in 2015 when we were 26-4 and one of the best teams in the Southeast. As a head middle school coach next year I will make between $4-5,000 at a municipal in Shelby County.  Coaches should be compensated for the jobs that are required but lets keep in mind that they are educators first.  It's pretty frustrating to other teachers that work their tale off teaching 6-7 classes a day to watch someone roam campus, not teach (or have very minimal responsibilities), and get paid the same (more with supplements) as a person who has the some years of experience or sometimes less.
    • This will get coaches leaving the profession very quickly if this kid wins this case. This is absurd...
    • yeah money aint right there anymore
