Sounds like MJ struggled against a Beech team that isn't as good as the past few years.

Mr. Closet Beech fan himself makes his usual weekly troll appearance. I don't know how much MJ struggled moving the ball.... Did you actually go and watch? MJ made a costly turnover near the Beech goal line after a long drive, still won the game and scored twice. What do you mean Beech isn't as good as the last few years? All we heard from the Beech supporters is last year was a very young team, and that nearly everybody was returning this year. Preseason ranked #1 5A. Don't give us this excuse of "not as good this year". Seems by all accounts that this is supposed to be Beech's year...

Sources close to the program tell me they aren't as good as they have been. Just passing along that information. Preseason rankings don't mean much either. Beech is definitely not the best team in 5A.

Could not have convinced them of that last year.  Pretty much said it would be their year.  Crabtree is good enough to pull it off too.

How did DubC do in early work? Who did they scrimmage?

Perhaps they’re not, but I wouldn’t sleep on them.  Also, not sure there’s a team in 5A that jumps right out and says they’re the best team in 5A.

Perhaps we’ll know a little more after Friday.

I think the top teams in 5A are not that far apart at the moment.  Separation will occur granted, but I agree nobody steps far from the pack at least right now.

It's all about Trey Perry. It's a way to put himself up on a pedestal.

 

Don't worry about getting news on our glorified scrimmage. We've fared well this preseason, and we will be ready for Springfield. It counts now and my cats will be ready.
