Stan is very private. Whether retired or coaching elsewhere, I wish him the best. We go back to when he was in college and I was a very young coach 40 years ago. Thanks for the responses.

My question to this reply would be, how many athletes from Happy Valley, Unaka, and Cloudland are on Elizabethton's roster?

At any one time probably a handful. 1 or 2 from Unaka/Cloudland. Happy Valley we've had players go there but we've had players from there come to EHS. The school's are about 3 minutes drive from each other so the water's murky there. But the people EHS gets from those schools, while talented like Russell was, don't compare to getting kids from the Knox area. Every team gets transfers etc so I'm not throwing stones about "recruiting" but there are some teams that have more outside talent than other teams do. 

Either way, I see EHS having a decent season, not as good as previous years. I'm thinking an 8-2 season with losses coming from SH and Greeneville. South/TN I could see us maybe dropping one of those though

You guys will win 8 games based on tradition alone.    9-1 is how it ends....

Maybe, it took a big effort to nearly beat Science Hill and that was with a stronger team than we have this year. But I like your optimism!

Elizabethton does not play Tn high. Cherokee took their place

Oh yeah, I completely forgot we swapped them out. I haven't looked at the schedule in a while and was just going off the previous years. We also play WB as well so a couple of new teams on the schedule for this season.
