What position is he,i dont remember anyone sticking out in the scrimmage. There was a lineman that had good size and the coaches were on him the whole time to make plays, was a redheaded kid.I was on the chains so i got to hear more than i should.Just like the HC and DC going at it to the point of the Side judge told one of the other coaches to calm them down!LOL.

It also had Greenback with 3 scores and Clinton with 2.  From what I've heard from other people, Clinton held their own pretty much, but I agree with you Greenback is the better overall team.  That's what scrimmages are all about. Working on your weaknesses and not going out concerned about the final scores.

He plays on both sides of the line. 5star preps talked about the scrimmage and it says he had a few big sacks and a couple of tackles for a loss.

No sacks, whistle was blown before the even got near,it possible could have been but who knows when the whistle is blown that quick.Actually the whistle was blown too early in my opinion. If it is the kid i saw he looks to be a solid player tho.

Clinton scored one at the very end against our 3 and 4s (we dont have many 2s lol).Varsity 3-1 Clinton did have some good plays no doubt but GB was by far the better team.If your good WR could have played the whole game it would have made a difference i think none of your other kids could catch the ball and were open at times.Your line play wasnt terrible tho and the FB ran hard.GB did have 2 fumbles one we dropped the handoff and the other was a good play by the defender.Clinton Fumbled once i think but it was during the 3 free plays before we started down and distance. We threw a pick that our WR tipped into your guys hands and he was so surprised he didnt know what do at first.lol.It was good for both of us,it was a physical scrimmage.

The WR that was injured is a very good player, but our most explosive player sat out the scrimmage bc of a sore ankle. We're sitting him out until the season opener against Anderson County.

Update on the injured player?

His whole name?

His number?

Prognosis?

Nate Murphy #14 suffered a compound fracture.

Nate thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers and says he will be back before you know it.

He is a great kid and a hard worker.

Week one is at Clinton. Anderson Co had a lot of graduates. Wonder who feels the shoes to put up the points they had been in recent years?  Clinton lost some talented players too, not sure how big class was though. One has to think this game will be closer than years past. My prediction: AC 40 - Clinton 14

Let's have some score predictions!

It's hard to really get a feel of what every team has since the Knoxville News Sentinel Sux. Pilot quit making their high school booklets also. Big reason I don't go there anymore. Maybe one of those guys that took the fall for Jimmy was the one who was in charge of the high school football books.

    • This late in the year, you’d have to think they’d go with an Asst. on staff, right? I’m pretty new to the area so still learning how folks do things around here…if Woods stays there to teach, it could be hard on a new guy/staff coming in…
    • Well, your Big Western Hunt better turn up some Zebras to come graze on the Stones to make the jungle gametime ready again and make sure the plumber bros. still will come service the facilities at the Mecca. I hope your weekend is Fowl. Tell Rip hello from the Five Oh. Maybe the Gravedigger will catch a ride with Alphaniner on a flyover soon to BNA.
    • It’s not hearsay, just patently false. As one of those young coaches he apparently “ran off”, coach never once ridiculed or degraded anyone. Sure he challenged kids and coached them very hard,  but we have different definitions of you call that degrading. Coach Hammontree changed my life when he gave me the chance to work for him. I learned more about being a man and caring for the people around me in 4 years working for him than I did in 20 years of my life. No one sacrificed more than he did. I left Heritage because I felt there would never be the support necessary to help the program succeed. I’m tired of hearing people drag others down especially those they truly don’t know. Coach has moved on and a new coach is there. Just let the man live and root for the team.
    • Waiting on the Great One.   White Horse and Rip have a big weekend in the woods, and the Sheriff is working the overtime here.      Turkey season awaits…..Big Gobblers everywhere.
    • He won first at maryville so he did something right
