I think somewhere above I said the best Lake County team since 1994. However, with Union City’s style it’s extremely difficult to beat them really bad unless they turn it over a lot. They suck the entire clock down and shorten the game. I expect LC win, but a game that’s closer than 4 scores.

I see what your saying bass but if you don’t get first downs on those drives then you really can’t eat the clock. My prediction is pure Speculation on how I think this game will go. But I do think it will be a 21 point victory for LC.

Brother it's all good, everyone dislikes hearing an opinion of their team that isn't like minded with the same opinion that person may have. It's by no means meant to degrade I just feel you all have slipped some the last 2 years and that #s is down is all. Nothing personal at all.

Well said if you don’t respect the program at UC then your just a certified HATER!

Never once predicted a score. I am 28 miles from Union City and fully aware how they play. LC has seen UC more times than you have. Hey! Thanks for the history lesson. Lol

Be careful talking about Swo. I had a close friend on the T a few years ago who was bad mouthing Swo. A strange car with New York plates showed up and he / she hasn't been seen from or heard from since. He still has his Mafia ties so be careful what you say.

Never count UC out of a game. The only thing I will say is UC can be turnover prone early in the year. If they are then I see LC by a couple TD's. If UC is at mid season form it will be a battle. Should be a great game. Personally, I think LC gets the win, I don't like wearing concrete Nike's so no way I'm saying by 4TD's

Yso. You are saying too much. I know where you are.

    • Lee would have been a good choice, also.  I'm sure Benny was involved with the decision.
    • Personally I was pulling for Lee Hammonds to get another shot. He’s earned it!
    • Tyler Williams was the logical choice to be named head football. He served as the Highlanders’ strength coach and offensive coordinator.
    • I went to practice yesterday and liked what I saw for the most part. Derek and crew have done a good job during the off-season. I was very impressed with the size of some of those boys on the offensive line. My only regret was one of the boys I was really pulling for to have a good year was dismissed from the team. I have to applaud the coaches for setting examples for the others, no one is bigger than the team. One other thing, I was hoping with that big rain we got this week some of that  yellow paint would dissolve but it didn't.
    • Couple of thoughts: 1.  I just don't understand all the intricacies in TSSAA transfer rules anymore.    William Blount had a kid that played the final part of the basketball season with them this year,  that played at Hardin Valley last year, and played football for Bearden this year.  I say that to say, I know the coaches and the AD and the Principal at WB and I will never believe they would do something they knew was wrong.  They are men of character.  I BELIEVE the same thing about the coaches and administration at Maryville.  Call me gullible, but these are men and women of integrity in my experiences with them. 2.  Much like the transfer of the Clemmer kid a couple of years ago, with Smith, the football team is getting a huge boost, but the impact on the basketball team will be just as great or maybe even greater.  With Smith playing post, it frees the Sigmund kid who will be coming back from injury, to play more with his face to the basket.  The Rebels basketball squad in my mind, will be "the program" in East Tennessee next year.
