I garuntee you I could tell our boys didnt practice tonight.  Grider got cocky and almost got beat by that Hayworth man.  He was trying to beat Grider cause he cant coach against him in when we play him.  I garuntee this Wattenburger man was watching Grider tonight.  Let me ask you a question.  Why did Grider play this Wattenburger man on a durn Saturday? Grider better be glad the SEC hadnt started.  You think im joking but im not.

I don't mind that the game is being played on Saturday Roy.   Gives me an opportunity maybe to catch another game the day before.

From what I've seen thus far, it will be a battle to beat Sequatchie.  As of now I'd say we are not ready for primetime.

I'm anxious to see us play a good opponent for a full 4 quarters.

Towner man its ok this Saturday but Grider better not pull this mess again.  The SEC starts next Saturday.  I just left ronnies red eye.  Some of them jailhouse fellars think they can make it a game work our boys.  Grider better hit the practice field Monday and get our boys to lifting weights everyday even on game day.  We could not nock a hole in that Hayworth mans line.  You think im joking but im not.

Watch a game the night before but make sure it is down south and not up 75 a couple of hours lol.

Everybody can talk all they want to talk about how good or how maybe not up to par there team is going to be, but yes SP is loaded with talent, but will they use it like they can or will they just show up and go through the motions? I think they will show up bc of some of the older players leadership, and they better start next Saturday bc SEQ. CO is always a dog fight no matter what, and you know they would love to come put a sour taste in our mouth at home.  We have got to remember that all these young men and some young women that happen to be on a team are 15- 18 years old and Lord know's what is on there mind's.   This is our QB 3rd year as a starter and I want to see him produce like he is capable of.

Does anyone know why this game is schedule for Saturday?  I have heard a couple of rumors but they are too far fetched. Anyway this will be a good starting point to see just how much leadership is on this years team.

I garuntee Grider thinks since he was a manager in the SEC that he can play his games when the SEC plays.  This is a bunch of mess.  Im real mad about this mess. You think im joking but im not.

Coach Grider has had a lot of success so theres not much I can complain about.  I just hope the Pirates are ready for what Coach Wattenburger and his Indians have in store for Coach Grider and his staff.  Roy,  if you have some extra redbulls I would appreciate the kindness.  I will need the extra energy as I will have to work all day Saturday.   You can find me sitting close to the band.  I will be the guy without his shirt on.

I agree with you as well. It’s time for QB1 to step up and help lead. This team has a lot of potential, but right now I don’t think they are a championship team. The good news is it’s a long season.

    • Maybe some of the historians can get on here and help me out, but has anybody from Tennessee ever had as much success in an international style as Boykin? The only other Tennessee native I can remember competing for world team spots is the older Boykin in freestyle and he wasn't nearly as close as Nick has been to making world teams.
    • Whoever gets the job will have some opportunities to compete year end and year out. The sophomore class has some talent and the middle school has some good athletes coming thru. If the right coach comes thru he can build a winning program.
