McMinn Central vs. McMinn County

Cross Creek rivalry 2019

Both teams had an up and down pre-season. Always tough to beat a 6a school. Even tougher when McMinn looked good against Central's Region favorites. 

Tough to always have to start the year off against McMinn but the powers that be forced this one to continue "good for the community." I heard Central had Sequoyah on the schedule week 1 and was forced to change that. How convenient that McMinn plays Sequoyah this year instead of Central. Have to get some wins somehow since their request to move down to 5A was denied by TSSAA.

Just hoping both teams come out injury free in this typically one sided "community social event." 

Central has been in it at half last 10 years and McMinn runs away in the 2nd. I hope I'm wrong but I think this is McMinn from start to finish. Too much speed and size this year.

I was pretty impressed with Davis had done with your guys defensively. Played really well against Sweetwater last night. Wish you guys good luck

Couldn't get offense going but defense did have some moments. Good luck to you all as well. Good looking team you have.

The o-line will come around for Central and when that happens they are going to be hard to handle.

I still say this game will be closer than most people think. Emotions will be high on both sides. Good luck to both teams!!

I agree. I think the difference will be a few athletes for County that Central just can’t match. This has a chance to be a one score game if Central limits big plays and keeps the ball.

Haven’t been on here in a while but what happened to us at our jamboree? I wasn’t there but did we not play our starters or something? I was kinda disappointed in those outcomes. Especially the 2nd one. I heard Brainerd wasn’t supposed to be good.

Shocking outcome. Brainerd and Walker Valley aren't that good. Walker Valley has an awful rush defense and that's McMinn's specialty. Everyone confused.

McMinn passes the paper test and eye test. Idk. McMinn's secondary isn't good. Walker Valley would shred them but Central can't throw

One of McMinns best returning players from last year is not there anymore. Was a good LB. Have heard they have had hard time replacing him. That should help the Davis run game in my opinion
