smartest decision that Herron made that while he was at Baxter.....gettin that game moved off that ankle breakin mud pit over to tech......Baxter woulda never pulled that win off if he hadnt got sum fake grass under his feet.....York was a special hs player

Cookeville QB played really well. Everything they do depends on him.

Upperman D made the stand of the  century. Even those terrible refs could not come up with another phantom call to give them a 6th chance to score from the  1.

The game wouldnt have been as close in Baxter, Tech sight was exciting. Alcoa having to pay st the mud Pitt last season helped the bees.

Alcoa and that years irish team are 2 different animals. Playing at TTU that year did give UHS the advantage..putting the irish on grass would of been to their benefit..They had one of the  best MLB i have saw in high school football. He missed one play and York burnt them while he was out.

so tru...so tru...one very questionable shot to the lower back of the Irishs freshman LB sensation that year.....allowed Baxters coach and record breakin fleet footed QB who had been shut down all night by Enos and the Irish defense....to run right at his replacement and right into the rath of Aluminum City the next week
