Very well Sir.  Excited about this year's team and coaching leadership.  Coach Morson has pulled players out of the halls and onto the field, and they have stayed with it all summer--the most ever on the squad for our program.  Led by 21 Seniors, we/they hope to shake up our region this year.  Time will tell how fast they can gel together as a team, but he has them focused and hungry.  Also have a few studs coming off of last year injuries, as well.  Nowhere to go but up, right? All joking aside about those Marion boys, it will be a challenge and a measure of what we could do this year.

Marion County is VERY young, but have some good talent in their younger classes.

With 21 seniors you guys should be able to turn your program around this year. That's a lot of experience and leadership. We are very young and just trying to get some game experience for some kids that will hopefully pay off later in the year. Hope to see a good game this Friday. Take it easy on our boys please.

This game is going to be very fun. Our Warriors are going to win the game this week. Coach Mathis will not have to use his new plays he has for Tyner and Pitchburg. He has more new offenses and plays this year that people have not seen. I miss my main man Manny out there this season for our Warriors. #56 was a good one for us for several years. We will win this game by at least 14 points. Our young kids like Alex are going to dominate people when they get older. Coach Mathis could probably win the game by more points if he wanted too. Coach Mathis does not like to run the score up like Pitchburg's coach likes to do to people. We are all human beings and we have feelings. That Pitchburg coach could learn something from Coach Mathis and how to treat people. As always it's a great day to be a warrior. Go Warriors!

Our Warriors have had a good week of practice. We are getting ready for the game on Friday. This team is not our 2018 team. This is the 2019 warriors. We are getting better and better. I can't wait to watch us play and execute for Coach Mathis. One of the reasons our team wasn't as good last year was because Coach Starkey was not coaching. He is coaching us again so we will be real good. We are always real good when he coaches for us. He is making our defense better everyday. As always it is a great day to be a warrior.

Umm, excuse me.  We finished 1-9 last year, beating a hapless Grace Christian-Franklin team 14-0.  I think we will do a bit better this year, starting with Friday against those Chattanooga wannabees.

Good to see your posts Varo (Spartacus reference :thumb:).  Would you say this bunch is as good as those teams you brought to SP several years ago?  Any videos?

Thanks PiRate._.Mike.  It's hard to tell with it so early in the season, but as far as individual athletic talent, we are still pretty fast, and this year we have a QB that can launch it.  Thing is, doesn't matter if the ball carries 50 yards if no one is under there to catch (and hold on to) it.  I wouldn't be surprised if teams watered the field before kick-off like we've have happen. We do have some decent RBs, one is a sophomore that's a bruiser.  And with what little I've seen on the field, i would easily say that we are at least two-deep without a drop-off of talent.  We have great numbers on the sidelines unlike previous years, so that can't but help keeping players fresh and won't have so many going both ways.  And our kicking game looks good as well.

While we considered ourselves pretty good during the regular season in years past, we couldn't quite get to the next level in post-season games.  The three SP games were "fun" to go to, just not the end results.  And only in the '16 game when we were able to put up 23 against you, did we really fight back w/o being all in awe of an opponent.  Now, Huntingdon is our SoPi, and I hope we create that chance to make waves in 1-A.

No videos that I know of, but since you're off tonight, come on down and watch us beat Marion Co. up.  You have them later in September I believe.

    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
    • Shopping? His family is loaded and he's 6'6 I'm pretty sure he could start anywhere in upper East TN,So no need to shop. Word is Witten got caught trying to work him out on campus and some 7 on 7 while playing athletics for Sullivan East. Word got around pretty quick and Someone turned them into TSSAA.
    • Quick update on Jacob -  Jacob celebrated his 16th birthday at Vanderbilt on Tuesday and has been in decent spirits.  His sense of humor has begun to show as he was visited by many friends.  He is swallowing a lot better now and has eaten some of his favorites (Chik-Fil-A and Five Guys).   He is getting prepared to head to Atlanta to the Shepherd Center first thing tomorrow morning.  His family has been waiting on insurance approval. In case you dont know the Shepherd Center it a world class facility and supposedly one of the best in the country for spinal injury rehab.  Praying for perfect results there. Considering the circumstances, Jacob is in decent spirits.  He has some reflexive movement in his legs which I think is probably a very positive sign.  Don't read too much into that just yet as there is no telling what the real prognosis is... just hopeful that is good thing.  I am really just happy that it seems like he has a punchers chance of getting something back.  He is a strong young man and very determined so I think he will fight as hard as he can in physical therapy while down in Atlanta. More than one of you has asked me about an address to send donations.  I know GoFundMe isn't for everyone.  If you want to go that route, you can make a check to "Blackman Wrestling Club" and we will pass anything received directly to the Kinderdines.   Jacob Kinderdine c/o Blackman Wrestling 4836 Trevino Court Murfreesboro, TN  37128 Also, want to thank everyone who has donated so far.  Jacobs dad will take a month off work and stay in Atlanta with him.  They need to learn how to take care of him and do home therapy work..... and surely Jacob will be glad his dad can be there.  All that could not happen without you all.  Depending on what happens, they will probably end up doing some home remodeling in order to accommodate Jacob at their home.  Thanks again. Here's a pic I lifted from Facebook of Jacob on Oxy talking to his Uncle.  LOL
