So far this opening week 2 state champions have tasted defeat.   Whitwell and now Greeneville.   We may never see or hear Whitwell mentioned with Greeneville ever again.

You are correct sir. Last year the 5 headed monster made them an above average team and this year they are at the same old average they have been in the last 30 years.  Those dudes last year we exceptional and a once in a lifetime group up there.

Yes, they were a great group of athletes. Time will tell if it was mostly athletes making plays or if it was that line that was more responsible. They have the same linemen this season so they should be better.

Old Pirate says them Whitwell kinfolkes breathed way to much smoke last year. Suspect that new coach that ran his yapper last year ain’t going to last long in the Tiger Den. Figure that transplanted coach that regularly ran that pie hole compares to a fellow writing a huge check, that he can’t get cashed! OP ain’t jest joking neither.
