Alcoa vs Blackman

Alcoa will 'almost' mercy rule Blackman.  If they do it will be the second team Rankin has done it to Blackman with.  The first one the mercy rule was not in effect state wide so the clock stopped, but not the scoring.  It got into the 80's with Rankin's team on top!

Between the Blackman and the Siegel one that year is a large reason there is a 'Mercy Rule' in Tennessee.  Thank You Runemup Rankin!

I think most if us think its going to be a close game. BHS seems to have all the advantages.  BHS has over 3x Alcoas enrollment, Alcoa is traveling 3hrs, BHS is at home with a huge crowd expected to Support them.

The crowd will be big, but some

of the locals will pull against Blackman. In the past we’ve had Riverdale students on our side rooting against the local team.

That drove me nuts to watch that championship game.  Alcoa was ultra conservative.  It was the same way vs Corbin a few years ago. Against Maryville Alcoa played guns a blazing.  Walker Russell was a great player.  He killed Maryville last year. He played well vs Maryville in 2017. He had 2 turnovers that hurt. Other than that he played really well.
