Obviously you’re blind. Greeneville lost to another very good team in Powell. No reason for people to think the world is coming to an end. Greeneville lost end if discussion.

The real prize is in Cookeville and thats where the devils will be for 3rd consecutive time.

Greeneville played extremely sloppy and undisciplined, as we all already know.  Here's the thing, there is PLENTY of time to correct all that AFTER the Boone game.     Seriously, let's keep the status quo until after next Friday.    :)

So far what I've got from this thread is that Greeneville lost to Powell but they didn't really lose even though that's what the scoreboard said, and that Boone won big over South but it was a lot closer than 30-6 even though that's what the scoreboard said.

Neither Boone or South played very well.  There were 4 reasons they mentioned it was a closer game than it appeared. 1 - South pretty much gave Boone 17 points.  2 - Part of that was due to 4 turnovers.  3 - South didn’t figure out who should be playing QB till the beginning of the 4th Q.  4 - South got close to scoring a few times but stalled.

Hows this one go?

Last Region Game Greeneville lost came at the hands of Daniel Boone in September of 2007

Greeneville 49

Boone 14

2009 Elizabethton 10 - Greeneville 0    Just saying. Unless Elizabethton is not in your Region :)

Region to me is This region of the state LOL You mean conference. I gotcha.

Yes Region is the conference. Even with that loss to Betsy it was the first year with Ballard.

Betsy Has beaten Greeneville Twice since 2001. Those wins came in 2004/2009 Per CoachT. Betsy is 2-10 against Greeneville in that time

Greeneville 316 points

Betsy 170 points

    • Yea, they have Davey quaking in his boots. Someday they'll even have a winning season.
    • Guessing this may have been the closest I can think of...... Bill Harlow: (from wiki) After leaving OSU, Harlow went on to win three national titles in freestyle wrestling.  He won a silver medal at the 1970 World Wrestling Championships, falling to Soviet Gennady Strakhov in the finals at 90 kg.
    • The Simpson brothers had good freestyle careers.

    • Maybe some of the historians can get on here and help me out, but has anybody from Tennessee ever had as much success in an international style as Boykin? The only other Tennessee native I can remember competing for world team spots is the older Boykin in freestyle and he wasn't nearly as close as Nick has been to making world teams.
