I still think Meigs has the best overall sports programs in this area, although they're a small school.

They get good coaches, I will attest to that. Maybe we have a pipeline for coaches.:mrgreen:

Not sure about that Davis wouldn't have left Polk if it werent for the Soccer field drama? I really dont know about that, but it's what I was told. Youd do well to keep him. Not saying he won't leave

I seen alot of improvement from the jamboree this year to the team we played last year in regular season at Central. Hes already done alot. I was impressed with the defense.

Not saying he won't leave as I have no clue but he doesnt seem to have a history of school shopping that I'm aware of. I know that any coach that knows him respects him and his talents as a coach. That says alot in itself.

Davis didn't leave over the soccer drama believe me on that. That's what people think it isn't true. And you are right he would still be there if it wasn't for well I'm not going into detail on that. Davis will stay long as he can for sure. Central just has to give him time to change the culture there. With that being said I think Central pulls it out Friday night. Davis will have that defense ready for sure and the offense will be better. The o-line is still learning the scheme but when it comes together for them this team will be fun to watch.

What school did you attend?

I agree about Meigs sports program. Everyone knows the story about football. Girls basketball is always in sectionals. Boys basketball has had 2 average years in a row, and they lost the stud duck so it may not be pretty this year. Softball is recovering from Ashley leaving. Baseball will be down this year because they lost a monster SR. Class that won lots of ball games.

      Can’t believe no one posted on this and gave this team the recognition they deserve!  AAU team Tennessee went to Iowa and done what no other team had ever done and took down Iowa and the strength by holds in AAU nationals!!! Yes McCallie had a solid group of 8th graders and they showed up but we had an AAU team that wrestled their butt off and we didn’t just place in the top 5 … we won the whole dang thing! Yes the NHSCa’s were happening and that may have hurt but never once had TN ever won the national folkstyle duals national championship!!  It was a team effort and some amazing young kids!!!    We are not a fly over state any more… on a side note : we have any even better team for cadet National's team duals in Utah and have a chance to sweep both duals which would be unprecedented!!! However the funds aren’t there and USA isn’t in th position to help these kids get to utah as was AAU that got us to Iowa! Stay tuned for some oppertunities to help make a statement for Tn!!!

      Not gonna lie, it’s been hard watching my alma mater go through a tough stretch on the grid iron. But this thread is even worse. y’all sound like a bunch of jr high mean girls, popping off, while hiding behind screen names.
