Fayetteville Tigers start District run

The "new" Tiger squad starts their district run Friday against down the street rival Huntland.  After two good wins to start the season for the Tigers, what does Huntland bring to The Hill besides a 1-1 record?    Any Hornet to watch for?  Asking for a friend.

Bigger question is who is this Romello Twitty kid that had 7 carries for a 24 yard per carry average last week?   How has Clark looked at QB?

'Mello is a lightning fast and shifty ball carrier.  Also helps out on defense with his speed to the ball.  Has good vision and when he makes the cut or gets to the edge he's gone.  Been fun to watch so far this year, and plays bigger than he is.  Reminds me of one of our better RBs Brandon Moore, with the same "get it done" attitude and speed in the open field.

Jacious has really stepped up his game and has the speed as well.  He reminds me of VFL Tony Robinson from back in my day--tall, lanky, deceptively fast, and can throw as well.  Also plays basketball so has good hand/eye coordination and can jump!  Receivers have had to adjust to his arm with our starting QB nursing a shoulder sprain but seems to be getting it together.

Good stuff!  I didn't see Mello in the Donovan Stewart rundown of your key players during the preseason.   Thought he might be a transfer.

Huntland by 10

Tigers scored 20 unanswered points and hold on to win 20-14. Some very questionable and some not so call by the zebras. Mystery downs and missed pass interference calls. Tigers had two big plays called back. Some self inflicted to be sure. Stoll wrapping my hwad around it. But a win is a win. On to Mt. Pleasant.

I thought it was a very hard played game by both teams. I f you want to get to specifics Huntland should have been up 21 to 0 at half. They also failed to score twice when inside the ten.  But I will not go there hats off to the Tigers for the win. Both teams left it all on the field. Good luck the rest of the reason.
