This game is intriguing from what I can tell.  As far as I know, these 2 teams have never faced off.  It looks to me as if the cobras of whites creek has a few athletes that could possibly have some speed. Fundamentals are not as sound as most but they can move the ball.  It’s going to come down to momentum, who wins the big play battle, and simply who wants it more!

I agree, we are going to see how much heart our boys have this week.... Easy to go over there and see the size of them and get scared.

I watched film of the cobras playing cheatham county this year. Penalties kinda bit the cobras in the backside. That and not playing fundamentally sound. That being said their front 3 Dline will help us get ready for the size and quickness of Trousdale co. The cobras look to have D1 speed and size. Should be interesting. I just hope we dont have a Glenncliff type incident down there.

Props to Westy for scheduling this game. I wish TC would schedule nex and exciting matchups like this. TC none region schedule always end up with Macon and Gordy and Friendship on it.

The only thing id change about the white creek game is where its played.  Westmoreland got in alittle predicament a few years back at glencliff. There was a gang related incident there and a knife was involved. None of our folks were hurt but it got outright scary. 25 metro cops were called on the scene. When we palyed east nashville the 2 years after that we played the games in wetmoreland everytime. Even the East Nashville kids told us how they loved the atmosphere at our games and liked playing in that type setting verses theirs.

Whites Creek will be a little better then Glencliff... Not much but I don't think we got anything to worry about.

All these teams are  rivalries for TC. Correct?

Macon and FC I would consider rivalry games. Gordy, it's a one-sided rivalry we just have always played them. I would rather play Smith and cut out FC I hate playing private schools. Also, put a good team on the none region schedule that actually has a chance of a deep playoff run. Playing teams like Whites Creek like what  Westmoreland did with scheduling will bring more people to the game. Traveling 2-3 hours has never been a problem for TC. I remember playing teams from Ky and Alabama often and playing bigger schools in 6A. All of that would have been better than just playing 9 games and playing Portland, MC, FC, and Gordy we have enough cupcakes in the region with Jackson, ER, and Cascade.

    • He may have possibly said that to get the best out of him. Back when I was in school word got out I was going to transfer and Coach Story popped off and ask Coach Wilson in front of the team if Maryville was going to get a jock strap in return on this trade. That got back to me and I got fired up and stayed just to show them up. Now today Coach Story is one of my best friends.
    • Dylan's Dad, I'm glad you replied. I wanted to reply but wasnt willing to take the bait. There were 20 wrestlers on the team. I may be mistaken and correct me if I'm wrong but I believe 5 of the 20 attend McCallie right now and one will next year. At most, there are/were 6 kids on that team who attend McC. That leaves 14 other team members who have ZERO affiliation with McC (outside of maybe some friends) who represented our state to the best of their ability and wrestled their butts off that weekend. That weekend was a first for Tennessee and obviously a small step in the right direction for us as a state. Congratulations TEAM TN BLACK!
