Oakland at Germantown

That being stated, this game is gigantic for Germantown They can I'll afford to HOST Oakland and get their doors blown off. The new HC and the staff will suffer if that happens. They can't afford to be disgraced at home in front of the world. That program will implode if that happens.

FWIW, unapproved website has this game projected as 56-13 in Oakland favor. Sonny Moore power ratings projects about the same. Not sure losing 1 game, by whatever margin, is going to destroy a program, maybe for a season. If Oakland was some run of the mill team I might agree but this an Oakland team that still is pretty decent on defense with an offense that might be the best they've ever had

Not sure it’s a disaster situation if that happens....  Just probably means they were a one hit wonder coming from last season. Maybe getting back to the Germantown of old.

Not sure they can be called a one hit wonder. Last year was a good year. But they were 11-1 two years ago.

11-1 and preceded to lose to a 5-8 team in the playoffs. Lol

I agree but that 5-8 team has a 6A gold ball in the trophy case. They also played a few tough out of state games that gave them some of their losses but had them ready for the playoffs.

I dont necessarily disagree with you on that. Cordova did everything they could to give that game away. Desoto Central has never really just wow'd me. As far as scheduling goes I know that its tough. Just seeing if that narrative was out there anywhere.(Smith loading the schedule up knowing he was leaving)

I went back to look at the records on TSSAA yesterday and G-Town is actually one of our area's most successful programs in the modern era (80s to the present) HOWEVER they ended my senior season thus I LOVE to see them LOSE, just being 100 lol. In all seriousness I hope they they can lose a competitive game to Oakland for no other reason than to provide Whitehaven with some good film should Da Haven have to face Oakland down the road.

That's ALL I am saying is if G-Town gets killed the Seniors and the team in general may just pack it up this season.
