steelcityroller
This is an interesting game coming up that could be for the top spot in the region. Things should start shaping up in the region. Currently you have Gordonsville (1-3), Jo Byrns (0-4), Clay County (4-0) and Monterey (4-0) as the normal playoff teams. Those records could be misleading due to competition. Clay County has already beaten Jo Byrns so they have that already in their pocket. A win over Gordy here would pretty much guarantee a home playoff spot. I'm showing that these teams have played 17 times since 2001. Gordy has the edge 15-2 and in 14 of those wins for Gordy they won by +28.
H2Oman
Gordy may be looking for a new coaching staff if they lose to Celina this week... I know they had several issues last night with kids and coaches being out, which was unfortunate, but I just don’t think the Gordy faithful will take well to losing against Celina no matter what the circumstances are! ( I may be wrong) Again it is unfortunate what is happening to Gordy this year due to issues that are out of their control. With that being said I will take Celina by a couple of touchdowns. croz6110
Clay is much improved, and their best players are underclassmen. Injuries or not, our effort has to improve to win this game.
Merlyn
This could very well be an interesting matchup and a good game to watch. Clay is a decent team this year with quiet a bit of young talent. Gville I think should win this one but injuries etc will play a role in it. I won’t be surprised if Clay sneaks a victory out Friday night.
Sidelinehustler
Clay has played the 5th weakest schedule in all of Tennessee prep football according to Sonny Moore. Take it for what it's worth. Gordonsville by 21.

Take it for what it's worth. Gordonsville by 21. I agree about the schedule but not about the prediction. Gordonsville is 1-3 and Clay County is 4-0. I'm fairly confident that if you flipped schedules then Clay County would be 1-3 and Gordonsville would be 4-0. Gordonsville has lost to TC, Watertown and Smith County. Clay County has beat Jo Byrns and Cumberland County (both 0-4). Then they beat a pair of Kentucky teams in Clinton and Monroe County. I don't know much about either team but Clinton County also lost to Pickett County.... Clay County has only allowed 8 points but they also are only averaging about 24 points a game against that weak schedule. I think Gordonsville wins a close one. Gordy 20 Clay
team69
Clay Co. Sure plays some good basketball so there's talented athletes in that school. Heard some of those basketball players are starting to play football now. Just might be a sleeping giant.

Doubtful, alot of those injuries are season ending from what I've been told.. 6-8 starters with the QB being one of them.. Pretty sure they are on the 3rd or 4th string QB.
