thinkin it just mite gonna take more than those young men.....that lussier replacement ant seemin to b the answer either.....FR got bout a 1 region win/year avg over the last 10 years......and if it wernt for the Middle State Bishop cup and Hendersonville Catholic...that region win average would b even lower......

....great school and facilities at both.....actually, now that Booger thinkin bout it....all the catholic schools in the state have great facilities.....except ND.....ND has the worse facilities of any Catholic School in the state.....and even lots of PUBs.....and hes does nuthin but win.....cant imagine what he could do if he had those facilities at his fingertips

And the wins over Hendersonville Catholic are from more than 4 years ago because the Bishop Cup has resided in the northern hemisphere trophy case 4 years in a row.

I've never been to either ND or KC however the facilities at both Pope and Ryan are top shelf.  That Monroe Carell fella sure was good to the athletic departments of the mid-state Catholics.

Father Ryan JV team beat JP2 JV 48-8 at JP2.  Team is a good mix of freshmen and sophomores.  They have talent in the school with more on the way.  The feeder club team hasn’t lost a game: this year or last year.  They are beating MBA, BA, Ensworth, CPA, BGA, etc.  The majority of the Father Ryan freshman were on that team.  Since the Ryan JV team hasn’t loss this year, those freshmen don’t know what losing is (until they see the varsity on Friday nights).  While they aren’t playing on Friday’s yet, it gives me hope for the future.  A winning attitude in the locker room has a big impact on the culture of a team.

Seems to be part of the issue maybe. JP2 has 3 sophomores starting on their offensive line on Friday nights. Those guys aren't playing JV. Age shouldn't really be a consideration when it comes to who plays on Friday and it seems like one school is getting their best out there.

The Father Ryan football program has regressed since Rector took over. PERIOD

Father Ryan has 1 freshman and 2-3 sophomores starting on the O-line. Those sophomores started as freshmen.

Also like how the Diocese Middle School team is considered out loud the Father Ryan feeder program, when it is suppose to be supporting TWO high schools...

Father Ryan started their program LAST year.  JP2 started their program THIS year.  There are some JP2 freshmen that played....driving from Hendersonville and Gallatin through Nashville traffic at 5pm to get kids to practice.  I don’t know if you live in the area, but this is not an enviable task....I guessing 1 hour commute one way.  Had the Irish not started the program last year, no kids in the Catholic middle schools would have played.  Only 2 schools in the Diocese would have fielded a team.

JRB- thanks for the painful memories!  At least, prior to this year, those games were close often coming down to the last minute.  This year, JP2 could have scored again late in the 4th, but were nice and let the clock run out.

If the boss' backyard was elsewhere, then the "new" school probably would have been built in Murfreesboro.

IMO, adding a 7th & 8th grade to both Father Ryan and JP2 would really help both schools as students are leaving Catholic grade schools after the 6th grade.  When this is discussed it is always brought up that it would hurt the current Catholic grade schools in the Nashville area but that is not true.  Remove the 7th & 8th grade from the grade schools and use that space to add child care beginning with  infants and they will make more money than they are currently making.  It would also allow parents that have children in the day care program to view the school and make the decision  to attend Catholic grade schools after having a positive experience in the daycare.  This should be a big win for both the grade schools and high schools.

    • Yea I agree I will say tho I was a big “ v “ fan if an  opening ever did happen I think it would’ve been good to see him have a shot coming from a power house like Oakland. I’m sure he’s learned a lot from Kevin.  I bet he would bring a really good offense scheme IMO But after all this I just dunno anymore.  Whatever happens with the rumors an such if it did come to and opening I think this messes it all up.  The board members dreams are slowly slipping away now. I haven’t lived there for awhile I just hear what I hear, but my question is would there be any good potential candidates?? That’s why I don’t understand why people want b s out so bad who else could do any better ?? IMO there’s nothing attractive about it? As I stated earlier I went to the last game last year and taking a leak in a porta Potty is pretty sad and still nothing being done they say ..

    • speaking of board members how can a man get arrested 12 days ago and still be head coaching a team in TC school system? looks like your right about the tc board members. I bet it would be different if they had a kid on the team
