Anderson County Mavericks vs Howard Hustlin Tigers

Howard is 3-1 coming off an upset Friday nite of 2A Tyner Academy ranked #3 in the state, much like the Mavericks 3-1 upset this week with SD, plus this is an away game for the Mavs. They almost ambushed the Mavs last year. In fact in the playoffs they came close to beating Elizabethton. So this is no give me game and it could be a close one. Last year Mavs won 28-14. It will not be an easy game for the Mavs. I think Howard has most all of there starters back.

Any thoughts that Howard could pull an upset on the Mavs. Any logical score predictions.

This could one of those games anything can happen and I am a bit worried. I would like to think we win again 28-14 but Howard always plays the Mavs tuff. Sence we have really grown up playing and beating top 5A SD and almost beat Powell I will have to assume we take this one 44-21

Nothing to go by on this one. Cross my fingers.

I seen two games so far and you would think AC is young but I was looking at the guys who plays a lot on Fridays most starts on Offense and Defense and the Seniors starters I seen on the field a lot is #17, #18, 57, #52, #53 #65, #56, #67, #6, #26 the Juniors I see is #11, #10, #2, #30, #54 #12

kicker#13.

I think this will be a tough game but I see AC winning.

That's true and I am assuming less experienced could be the best disruption and then young. But they certainly do not have the experience we seen previous two years however with this year's brutally schedule they are learning fast.

If Howard continues to get coaching continuity and keep players from their immediate area, they could be the top public school team in Chattanooga. This year, not enough yet for Anderson.

They seemed to have improved every year and I know they have the same HC. Seems like they are getting things figured out

Yes, they are getting better each week.

Big emotional win for Howard this past Saturday!! If the Head Coach can settle them down, and they play the entire game like they did in the 1st quarter (against us)then AC will be in a tough game. I must admit I haven't seen AC so the match-ups might be different.

Hope y'all have a safe game!

Yeay Ram fan it should be an interesting game to say the least.

Who carries the game via radio or video for Howard.

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
