This years team has the potential to be better than last year. Athletically, MJ is going to have more athletes, Gallatin ford every year. There’s a difference in athletes, football players and teams. By the end of the year, they expect to win and it has translated to just that, wins. Beech has nearly as many playoff wins over the last 10 as Gallatin, Hendersonville, Station Camp and JPII combined. Beech 22 the other four 24. So yeah, they get better as the season goes and expect to win. While all that does matter to an extent, Gallatin has been held back from coaching for a while now. 2011 to be exact. That is fact, not an opinion. With a new coaching staff, expect playoff wins here in the years ahead. Kind of like Crabtree at Beech; Do you not feel that he is the reason Beech ever became relevant in the first place?? Coaching matters. The staff at Beech is exactly why I think it’s silly for some to think they will not get better as the season goes. The new staff may be exactly what was needed, but the body of work is so small at this point that I true assessment can’t be made. I know it comes off as being a “hater”, but I honestly want to see Gallatin good again (I would really be a fan of 9AAA being back together but that’s for another post). This team is definitely better than years past, but with such a short sample it’s hard to say it’s coaching (and impossible to say it’s not). We still have work to do and clean up some things. We will still be the underdog going into the end of season
CommandoBlood100
Interested to see how Hendersonville bounces back after last week. Historically, the Commandos struggle after a loss to beech. It’s been like that for as long as I can remember. I especially worry about this one because it was in a game they literally gave away. Hopefully the coaches can get them to move forward with 100% focus on Lebanon. I think you learn a lot about this Hville team this week. This game will definitely give the other a leg up in the region standings. This game is very interesting because the questions about either could be answered. While I understand what your saying, look at what Watson did at his previous stop at Northeast. They were bad before he took over and they're bad once again
firstandgoal
Both teams with two losses against solid competition. Both with two wins over bad to decent competition. This game is a true separator for the inside track to that #2 seed in 4-6A come playoff time. Coach Gentry, staff, and players have been steadily building since he got the job. 5-6 year one, 8-3 year two. The jury is still out on if forward momentum will continue this season. Back in August coach made a comment I believe on Tate Mathews’ show that progress for him this year would be Lebanon hosting a 1st round playoff game. Hasn’t happened since 2004 I believe. Tonight will go a long way towards determining if that’s possible this year.

eers
I may be surprised, but I think Hendersonville wins convincingly.
