I actually set on the Farragut side last night up real high so I could see the game and mingle with the fans and get tips on what stocks to purchase Monday Morning when the Markets opens up. That was a great game last night. Glad Maples caught that long bomb last night to help pull us away.

Farragut was tough to beat.  Quarterback for them was outstanding.  For Maryville the Offensive Line blocked well.  Parker McGill was awesome running the ball.  AJ Davis and Ashton Maples were outstanding.  I thought Dline put good pressure on QB. Maryville needs to get healthy.

That's the amazing part of what Maryville did in that run, to me.  Region 3-4A was as strong as any single region in the state regardless of classification for about a 5 year period, there.  Central, Powell, West, and Halls all had enough talent to win a state championship at one point or the other in that time, but none could ever get past Maryville.  Central and Powell came close on an occasion, but Maryville always found a way to answer and move on.  The rest, as the saying goes, is history.

Central defeated the Rebels in the quarterfinals in 1999, GQs first year as head coach.  Maryville had defeated Central during the regular season.  Central made it to the championship game, but loss.

Yep.  Forgot about that one, and I actually worked the radio broadcast of that Central/Memphis East championship game from Vandy.
