Well, you guys have had some good teams and anyone that looks past you this year doesn't know much about the game.

Really I was surprised with the youth stepping up.  The more I watch film of this years team the more confident I get in so many stepping up.  But apparently the feeder programs are working at AC

2010, pretty sure. The year the band had the electric guitar?

I look it up. Just type in Dobyns Bennett band at Neyland stadium. It was the Salute to American Heroes show they done that year and at Neyland.Ten years after 911,"2011".The band is great every year but for anyone who loves America and appreciates what our military and first responders have done for us, that's hands down one of the greatest halftime shows any band in the country had ever done .

And if you remember, the 2001 program was a salute to the military as well.  The story line had to do with WWII and soldiers (color guard) returning from the war and hugging their wives and girl friends (color guard).  But one soldier didn't come back. A flag was presented by the Drum Major in army uniform to one of the color guard girls.  How ironic that this was the program that was put together long before the date 9/11/2001.  The 2011 program was what it was because of the 2001 program. The 2001 show was presented at Jefferson Co. on 9.14.2001, right after the attack on Tuesday.  It was a truly great show too.

BTW, I was setting behind some UT fans when the 2011 show was presented at UT.  The lady in front of me, all decked out in orange, said to her husband - "oh my gosh!  They're better than the Pride".  And on that day, I think they were.

14-0 at the half. DB continues the lackluster play from the Daniel Boone game. Had three drives stall out because of multiple mistakes. Seems Jefferson Co. has all the momentum going in at halftime. This may not go well for the Tribe.

Or it may be just fine.  Too many injuries on the line.  Anybody know how many?

I may have heard it wrong but I think they said 5 linemen injured. DB looked much better in the second half. 35-0 and had the ball on the 3 yrd. line with the two's and three's on the field as time ran out.

Farragut will be by far the best team DB has faced this year.  ~  I completely agree with that statement.    And I get not looking ahead, but all teams and coaches do that no matter what they say to the media and to each other.     I just think that after seeing DB absolutely destroy everyone in their path so far there is no reason they cannot be 9-0 by Alcoa time, and will have to be considered a threat in the playoffs.

Okay, I am one for two.... DB blew up JC tonight as predicted, but maybe Farragut will provide more of a challenge.    But that has yet to be seen.    I think DB is the real deal this year.

    • Shopping? His family is loaded and he's 6'6 I'm pretty sure he could start anywhere in upper East TN,So no need to shop. Word is Witten got caught trying to work him out on campus and some 7 on 7 while playing athletics for Sullivan East. Word got around pretty quick and Someone turned them into TSSAA.
    • Quick update on Jacob -  Jacob celebrated his 16th birthday at Vanderbilt on Tuesday and has been in decent spirits.  His sense of humor has begun to show as he was visited by many friends.  He is swallowing a lot better now and has eaten some of his favorites (Chik-Fil-A and Five Guys).   He is getting prepared to head to Atlanta to the Shepherd Center first thing tomorrow morning.  His family has been waiting on insurance approval. In case you dont know the Shepherd Center it a world class facility and supposedly one of the best in the country for spinal injury rehab.  Praying for perfect results there. Considering the circumstances, Jacob is in decent spirits.  He has some reflexive movement in his legs which I think is probably a very positive sign.  Don't read too much into that just yet as there is no telling what the real prognosis is... just hopeful that is good thing.  I am really just happy that it seems like he has a punchers chance of getting something back.  He is a strong young man and very determined so I think he will fight as hard as he can in physical therapy while down in Atlanta. More than one of you has asked me about an address to send donations.  I know GoFundMe isn't for everyone.  If you want to go that route, you can make a check to "Blackman Wrestling Club" and we will pass anything received directly to the Kinderdines.   Jacob Kinderdine c/o Blackman Wrestling 4836 Trevino Court Murfreesboro, TN  37128 Also, want to thank everyone who has donated so far.  Jacobs dad will take a month off work and stay in Atlanta with him.  They need to learn how to take care of him and do home therapy work..... and surely Jacob will be glad his dad can be there.  All that could not happen without you all.  Depending on what happens, they will probably end up doing some home remodeling in order to accommodate Jacob at their home.  Thanks again. Here's a pic I lifted from Facebook of Jacob on Oxy talking to his Uncle.  LOL
